I was in this hotel some time back and got a horrible room, make sure you ask for a room from the new wing which is much better. I left a day early since I couldnt stay in the room any longer. The food and set up is ok but the hotel does not have a kids pool.

Citrus is a great resort in a perfect location in hikkaduwa. Excellent buffet breakfast, friendly staff and generally a very relaxing place to stay. Have already recommended Citrus to other travelers.
