First let me start by saying that I'm from Safita, and due to tight quarters at relatives' houses and the relatively cheap cost of staying at the hotel, we jumped at the chance to have a place of our own to stay while we were there for two weeks in April, 2012. We baptised our son there and spent a... More

We stayed there for one night. We had a room with sea viewing. The view is great; you are on top of Safita. The hotel is large but...we were the only two guests there! Nevertheless the kitchen cooked for us dinner and breakfast in a very good quality. A great effort for just 2 people. I don't now the reason... More

This is basically the only choice in Safita or decently close to the "Crack des Chevaliers", and this is probably the only reason to visit this hotel. Cham Safita was obviously built with good ideas but that probably was a long time ago.. when we visited the hotel was more or less empty, as was the restaurant, the business center... More

The room was large, comfortable, and even featured a patio to look out over the countryside. Don't know whether they advertise having hair dryers or not, but they are available only on a first come first serve basis at the front desk. (There may be only one.) There was a business center with at least one computer. The hotel is... More

We arrived with a booking only to be told no rooms were available. The receptionist was totally dismissive. "The problem is at your end not ours" was the response. So we did not get to look at the rest of the hotel which didn't look too bad from the reception!!

Unmotivated stuff in a rundown hotel which needs urgently an update. Poor food.

This large hotel is situated in the easygoing mountain town of Safita, a favourite holiday haunt of wealthy Damascenes and ex-pats who come home to Syria for the summer. It comprises one very imposing building overlooking a valley, and boasts a swimming pool (used by both men and also women in bikinis, to my utmost astonishment...), a very nice restaurant... More
