The rooms are clean and spacious with very comfortable beds. It's on the water with beautiful views. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is great: it's near good restaurants and bars and right next to water taxis who can take you to surf, snorkeling, SUP, and kayaking spots.

Walking around Bocas Town, there are many, many reasonably priced Hostel style hotels. Tropical Suites is one of the few upscale hotels and possibly only one of 3 on the water. Excellent accommodations, friendly staff, and centrally located for excursions to islands and good restaurants. Breakfast was included at the little restaurant next door (Lily's) which was yummy. Quick walk from the hotel to the water taxi back to the mainland. The rooms were very quiet and allowed total relaxation. Thanks to Trip Advisor we found this place!

For the price we paid, it's not the best hotel you can get, but probably the best you can get in the island though. I don't know if it was just my room, but the AC wasn't really cooling. This was our second trip to Tropical Suites. The hotel is impeccably maintained, and the location is perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the recommendations made for restaurants were perfect. Jamie, one of the owners, is a delight to work with, and her selection of captains to take us on island excursions was great.

We stayed at Tropical Suites for a month in January/February 2013 and it is just a great place. In many ways, the hotel is the embodiment of the hotel's owners, Chip and Jamie - it is friendly, well maintained, thoughtful and good looking.
