Our stay at Imperial was for the most part good, rather than outstanding. The rooms were alright. They charge a bomb for wifi, which I believe is a terrible practise followed by some of the top hotels throughout India. The breakfast buffet spread is pretty lavish, however that is pretty much the same through all the hotels in India too.... More

I'm not going to complain about the hotel, especially as we visited in low season on a very discounted deal but I have stayed in some of the better hotels in Delhi and Gurgaon and the imperial needs to start running if it's going to catch up The hotels public areas are all very impressive and I'd particularly recommend taking... I am a frequent visitor to the Imperial (about once a year), and even in one of their less lavish rooms, a great stay can be had. The property itself is magnificent, and the service excellent. One minor draw-back: during the winter months very loud weddings on the hotel front lawn can create a racket. Another: when faced with a... More

Dear Guest, I would like to thank you for your valuable feedback about your stay at The Imperial during Feb 2013. Though you seem to be happy with your overall experience, I have noticed minor traces of dissatisfaction which I’d like to clarify. You seem to be discomforted due to the noise from the lawns. We do make a constant... More

my room was unfortunetely on the front side. There are some underground works just in front of the hotel. I did sleep from 4am to 5 am probably because i was so tired that i feld down. No excuse, no discount on the rate , never again . Go to the Shangri la couple of meters from there and get... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking time out to write about your experience at The Imperial. It’s extremely disheartening to know that your last stay with us in March 2013 was not comfortable due to the underground work happening outside the hotel. The Imperial takes pride in its service standards and we are always upfront in creating a memorable stay... More

I stayed here for ten days and would not contemplate staying anywhere else in Delhi. It is not large or ostentatious but small, personal with every detail considered. Breakfast on the lawns were wonderful as was the morning yoga and spa facilities. The staff are attentive but not intrusive.

After visiting the Kumbh Mela festival in Allahabad (sleeping in a plywood shed for a few nights) and spending almost two weeks in Varanasi (backalley guesthouse), this hotel was the perfect way to end my trip. When you arrive at the front door a doorman in a classic indian guard outfit greets you with couple of other hotel personnel. After... More

A very good friend of mine stayed at a 5-star hotel in Delhi and saw a rat run through the lobby so I was nervous about making sure to get a very good place. The Imperial is a great hotel and we got to know it well over the 5 days that we were in Delhi. Beautiful, refurbished art deco... More

After having experienced many other 5 star hotels in Delhi, the Imperial remains by far the best hotel in this busy City. The service is fantastic, the rooms have the elegance of Old India, the retaurants are all excellent. I shall not look for other hotels next time I visit Delhi. The Imperial will be my unique choice.

I'm not sure if TripAdvisor have rules about how late reviews can be but hopefully my tardiness will not upset anyone. My wife and I married on 28th November, 2009 and travelled to Delhi from the UK for our honeymoon. We choose The Imperial because it seemed that it was the best hotel in Delhi on TripAdvisor. And it was... More
