I stayed on an official visit at Kalra Regency in Feb'13. The hotel, although a bit far from the Mall road, is nice and cozy. The rooms are nice and clean, the staff is very helpful. We got a room upgrade. Its a decent stay for a short visit - not very luxurious, but clean and nice.

A sad location, far away from what to do and see in Shimla, and here, there are no rickshaws but only taxis, quite expensive! Restaurant OK. A decent comfort and plenty of hot water (but no curtain in the shower-place, as usual!).

The staff at the hotel is very caring, the view from the rooms is breath-taking and the food is also delicious. The best part is that the hotel is located in chotta shimla away from the hustle-bustle of the main city. So if you have a personal vehicle/cab, I would strongly recommend you this hotel.
