We stayed for a week here and loved the atmosphere. The furniture and art work is wonderful and we learned a lot about the straits chinese and other ethnic groups that live in Melacca. Breakfast was quiet and lovely, included in the price and we enjoyed delicious roti at a restaurant just around the corner. We can definitely recommend this... More

The earlier reviews are all justified-hospitable; clean; excellent breakfast which includes nonya kuay, when available I guess.. My bunch of male adult friends throughly enjoyed our short stay - Chris, Cindy's husband, is very knowlegable about the plants on the grounds and very willingly cut a few stems for a friend who's a landscape artist. There's a hawker centre just... More

Cyclamen is situated in a stunning historical building just of a busy road leading to the city centre. Definitely one of the better looking places we've stayed in in Malaysia. It doesn't lack comfort either, with nice, thick mattresses on the beds, clean and modern ensuite bathrooms and a nice breakfast in the morning in a nice setting at the... More

What a great place to stay. Owners are welcoming and warm. They make you feel at home without cramping your style in any way. Helpful and interesting. Beds were so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! What a pity it was only one night! Only negative....and this no-one can do anything about...was the long call to prayer from the mosque...and the early... More

We found the renovated older style of building and room and furniture to be quite beautiful. The hotel was lovely as expected and while getting into the tourist areas of Melaka took some walking or organizing a bus/taxi, it was worth it to be away from the hubub of Jonker Street (where many of the competing hotels are). However, the... More

It's been a refreshing experience staying at this place. Be it the cleanliness, the warm nature of Ms Cyndy, the owner who amazingly connects with you the moment you strike a conversation with her, the old world feel of the ambience, I am sure anyone who is so used to the hustle bustle of city life would immediately fall in... Beautifully restored facility with historic roots. Run by a family, as a guest you are treated as if you are one of the family. A 15 min walk from the downtown Jonker area, it is a peaceful oasis in Melaka, The architecture and furnishings are a treasure trove of modern antiquity .. A simply lovely place to stay

We stayed at the Cyclamen Cottage for 3 nights in Dec 2011. It was way way beyond my expectations. The property itself is a heritage one, with a beautiful layout and gorgoeous pieces of antique furniture. IN fact a lot of the furniture pieces we saw were actually similar to the ones displayed at the museum, only here we were... More

Couldn't recommend Cyclamen Cottage enough! We had a month long trip - stayed in many beautiful places - but this is the one place that we truly bonded with!. This gorgeous renovated malaccan bungalow keeps true to the malay shop-house tradition and you feel like you've stepped back in time. Though a little removed from the heart of Jonker st... More
