Room and furnishings all clean and well maintained throughout our stay. Staff was terrific and very attentive. They worked hard to make us feel comfortable. We made full use of the amenities and met lots of the other guests for great conversation. If you don't feel like mingling, though, there are little spots where you can keep to yourself.

Grand Central is a beautiful five-star hotel with many lovely features. But our favourite was the peaceful, quiet escape from the marvellous madness of Shanghai. Only stayed 1 night but was impressed by the hotel, the room, breakfast and staff efficiency. Rooms and public area were spotless, everything in the room functioned, breakfast was more than adequate with many options. Hotel is well situated in downtown area.

Very efficient check-in service. Rooms have good furniture, very comfortable bed, and nice shower/bathroom. Room was cleaned, and had a turn-down service each night. Free WiFi router was made available for the duration of the stay, which was convenient. Only area's for improvement was breakfast that is needed, would be the quality of food and presentation improvement

A little past its prime but competent and comfortable hotel. The business suites are good value for money. Played the usual trick of only offering early check in if upgrade to club level but it worked out as good value for money if you want breakfast and can take Dynasty wine during happy hour.
