I've slept with 5 friends in a room for 6 persons. The room was too small. We had to put our suitcases under our beds. We had to share a bathroom (2 showers and 2 toilets. 1 western toilet and 1 Chinese toilet) with many other rooms. The western toilet was constipated a few times. People probably put toiletpaper in... More

I stayed twice at this accommodation in May 2013, both in double-rooms. The first time was for two consecutive nights, where I was placed in a wonderful double-room with a king-sized bed. The second time was for three consecutive nights, where I was placed in the spacious family room with a double bed plus one single bunk bed - I... More

Stayed here for 1 night didn't give me time to get to know the place. My first impression of the hostel was not good when I've to manuaver a stinky lane to get to it. It didn't improve during the check-in. We step out of the lift and the reception counter is smack in front of it, making it a... More

We stayed in a double room, which was clean but very small and with no window. Many of the hostels we stayed at in Asia felt more like boutique guest houses, but this was very much a traditional hostel. The major advantage was the location, a very easy train ride from the airport and handy to the river or the... More

First let me start by saying this is the second time we have stayed at the hostel and both stays have been for one night so we stuck with it both times. Oh and the staff are awesome, really friendly and always smiling but of course, in the hospitality business, they have to smile. Anyway, we booked a private double... More

I booked the hostel for two nights. At arrival they told me there was a problem with the room. The guests of the night before had a party and the room was not available/representive. They booked me a room in a hotel nearby (Fish inn). Very nice hotel, also good location and great services. All without paying more! Good service... More

Booked a private room (with private bathroom, no windows) for 3 adults far away from the bar and lounge room. A little bit tight space but for that price, we can not complain. Clean space, not noisy at all (except for the renos 2 floors down, it started only after 8 am), only a few minutes by foot from Nathan... More

For me location is everything. Most important is close to subway, many cheap & delicious food stalls, and very near to the Bund, Shanghai (walking distance about 15 minutes). Room is also clean that is hard to find in China, and friendly English speaking staff. They don't sell train ticket as I looking for bullet train to Beijing, but the... More

We reached the place via the metro and had to trudge through a stinky lane to reach the high-rise building. The standard double room that they gave us on the first night was pretty tiny, with no windows. We hardly had enough place to maneuver with our luggage, etc. But the staff surprised us by upgrading us to a bigger... More

I stayed here with my partner twice. The first time I couldn't fault our stay. Before I booked a stay the first time, I emailed them to ask whether I could have an important letter sent to the hostel and whether they could keep it safe until I checked in. They emailed back quickly and always reassured me when I... More
