No view, but excellent locale within easy walking distance to sights, shopping and restauatnts/ The rooms are abit dated, but still good accommodation. The Ritz Bar on the second floor is very pricey (33% above The Vue on the top-36 floor of Hyatt with a view of the Bund), and the service is poor. More

This was the best hotel in Shanghai 20 years ago, when it was a Shangri-La. Unfortunately, the rooms look like they have not been renovated all this time: worn-out to the point of not feeling clean even when they are, smelly and dark.
