One thing I love about this hotel is that it is in a quiet and peaceful part of Shanghai in the former French Concession which is an area popular with ex-pats. Despite rooms coming with balconies, they were locked for safety reasons, which really defeats the purpose of even building them. Stayed here recently, okay, nice area but should have stayed somewhere on the Bund. Air conditioner never worked, don't eat here at night! Breakfast okay, not a lot of English spoken and dont really have facilities to help tourists. Used mostly by tour groups

To all the reviewers....Get a grip. If you are a seasoned traveler (air, land or sea), this hotel is up there with the best. Constructive criticism.....the on-site bar was far too expensive and the serving sizes of the drinks were far too small (Actually, ridiculous). Suggestion...
