What a wonderful place! Milton and Eli were fabulous hosts. We went for the afternoon Cultour experience. The food was AMAZING! Our best meal in Costa Rica. (Make sure you go hungry because the portions are huge and so delicious you want to eat every bite!) Everything from the meal, learning about making sugar, visiting the farm and school were... More

We spent the day filming here and what a wonderful experience. Eli and Milton were so welcoming and we had a fun filled day with them. The food is out of this world and I cannot wait to come back to learn more about their culture and way of life. A must do if you are in Costa Rica.

This is a real gem of a place. I haven't stayed in their rooms but I have eaten here and visited twice now and would definitely go back. I'm certain their rooms are as charming as the rest of their establishment. This is a small family run place that has exceptional food, friendliness and demonstrations of the typical Costa Rican... We just got back from CR. It was a 10 day trip full of activities- ziplining, jungle/waterfall atv tour, hanging bridges, crocodile river cruise, beach, macaws and Cultour. Amazingly, my kids 13 and 15 y/o girls rate this one as their top CR experience, and said they wouldn't trade it for any other activity. My husband and I agree. I... More

When planning our visit to La Fortuna we indicated our interest in culture, rural activities and natural surroundings so our planner suggested Casona Rio Fortuna "Cultour". What a wonderful experience this provided for us! The day began with a warm welcome from our hosts, Milton and Eli Molina, and an opportunity to prepare our own tortillas in a traditional home... This is a farm house, more than a hotel. If you're looking for pampering in air conditioned comfort, look somewhere else. There is no glass in the windows, just screens. It's rough and basic. But...after dark you fall asleep to the sounds of the rainforest, in a house that was part of Costa Rica's history. It's different and authentic. When... More

We did not stay at this property (sadly) but we enjoyed a wonderful visit as part of our Kuoni holiday. Milton and Eli who own the property are a lovely couple who made us feel very welcome in their home. The lunch was delicious and freshly made and from the dining area we could watch an amazing display of birds... More

Casona Rio Fortuna was the place we enjoyed most during our trip in Costa Rica. The owners Milton and Elly are really super friendly. We felt really welcome and at home. They have the greatest cook, so enjoy a good meal with a great view on the Arenal Volcano. They also are the people who make the trip "Cultour". After... More

We made this vintage estate our base of operations for our two days in the Arenal area. The owners were great, the traditional wood-stove meals were the best we enjoyed over our entire two-week trip, the wildlife, the scenery, history, you name it. Milton provided solid advice on places to go and logistics. This is my first Trip Advisor review... More
