A family of 3,including an almost 4 year-old boy,who fell in love with Geysel("Hazel") at the Monkey Bar. A wonderful experience overall-the hotel is very comfortable,free breakfast is very delicious and the service on all levels done politely and unobtrusively.An excellent first impression of Costa Rica.

We stayed at this resort for a full month (February 2013). The room was cleaned twice weekly, nicely air-conditioned with a beautiful ocean view. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean but room needed a painting - cracks in some walls. Towels were worn, not fluffy. Beach towels were small & worn as well. Staff was very pleasant, friendly. There was a charge to use the in-room safe. Monkey bar / restaurant was nice - bring a stuffed monkey to get a free drink. Food was good.... More

Great location, great view .... the hotel looks kind of old. The rooms were not cleaned properly , there was a spider web in may bathroom for the whole week, piece of the wall in the terrace falling , the handle in the closet falling. We did not eat in the restaurant, we ate out almost every day.
