We spend 2 nights in Casacolores and really don't get what everybody is raving about. The accomodations and grounds are very basic and old. The deck of our cabin was nice but inside it was outdated, not well maintened, but most of all, not clean! The bathroom tiles were dirty, the bedlinnens were old and we really didn't want to... More

These cabins have every thing you could want with screens on the windows and shutters that you don't need to close and lock because you are up on stilts so, except for the front deck, no one can see in nor get in. The front deck is your dining room/family room with table, benches, rocking chair, and hammock. Complete kitchen... More

My husband and I just spent a week in Montezuma, Costa Rica at Casacolores Cabins. I have never met such wonderful people. The owners Catrine and Ruben took care of us like we were family. Our efficiency cabin was neat, clean and had everything you could possibly need. If you'er looking for a quiet relaxing place to stay this is... More

We rented one of the cabins for our family of five and didn't know exactly what to expect. The cabin was awesome, with a double and single bed in each room (2 bedroom cabin), a spacious and fully functional kitchen, and a great porch with a hammock and couch for relaxing. The owners were super nice, and we found that... More

At first, we were a bit disappointed to be this far out of town but the peace and tranquility was well worth the $4.00 cab ride from town. Montezuma is a dusty little place and Casa Colores was a pleasant retreat. The pool and surrounds were clean and well cared for...a nice meeting place for fellow travellers at the end... More

Fabulous place! Relaxing and peaceful. The owners are super nice and helpful. We had 5 people in our party and felt there was plenty of room for all! My 16 year old wants to add that the beds were really comfortable. I would stay here again in a minute.

We expected something a little more, based on the reviews and pictures on this site. On the plus side- the owners were lovely and kind, the cabin was spacious, a fan and safe were provided. This place is definitely more rustic than we anticipated, situated about 1.5 km from town (driving to the beach is essential, the walk is too... More

Casacolores is a great place. Super friendly owners make it a nice place to stay and are very helpful and informative about the area. Very hospitable. The grounds are amazing, lots of plants and trees and wildlife. Great pool. The Pink cabin by the pool was perfect for me since I was alone, but would be good for two also.... More

We stayed with friends at Casacolores the week of the big earthquake in Costa Rica in September 2012. When we arrived the owners informed us that due to the earthquake the electricity was out and also that there was no water since their system relies on an electric water pump. It was no problem as the owners found us candles,... More

Stayed at Casacolores for 4 weeks and it was amazing. The brightly colored bungalows are well build, spacious, clean and just far enough from each other to be private, yet not deserted. Neat clean bathroom with plenty of hot water. Big fridge and kitchen with all the stuff you need to cook up a storm. Safe for your valuables and... More
