Just because you are on the Spit doesn't mean you have to settle for a Super 8-calibur motel. I take that back - most Super 8s are better than this. Stayed here for a conference. Bayside rooms offer spectacular views and instant beach access. Beds are hard/uncomfortable. The heat in my room was not working, so I had to bundle up and use the hairdryer to keep the room warm. I did have a great view and it was quaint as you can see from the photos. I kept getting emails about this being a resort. That's the overrated part. Nice view if you have a bay view room. It's close to the salty dog saloon, so be prepared to wake up at 3am due to the drunks stumbling in. The spas are big enough for 4 maybe 5 people comfortably, one inside, one out. Great view... More

What a view! Our room was very welcoming, clean and had a view that took our breath away. The big window that overlooked the water and mountains was amazing, the balcony was even better! Great front desk staff, very friendly...loved the place and I will be back! Very cozy beds too!

We had a great trip there last weekend. We visit here several times a year and are very familiar with their services. The hotel was wonderful due to the off season as it was quiet and peaceful. I've been staying at this hotel since I was a child, although it no longer resembles the hotel of the 60s. The new smaller rooms, right along the water, are perfect for being on the spit without camping.
