Nice resort, beautiful views. Relatively clean, most of the hotel staff were very friendly. The food I think was ok, expectation was high based on other posters reviews but was somewhat disappointed. Not really all inclusive, have to read fine print - appetizers are not included in dinner. Also, I believe it was the same menu every night that we... More

Salmon Falls Resort is the best place to stay when in Ketchikan. You’re away from downtown and all the tourist trappings, especially the cruise ships and gift shops. Not that those things are bad, but I prefer to feel like I’m in the ‘last frontier’ and closer to nature. The resort itself is almost at the end of the road... More

I had went to this resort first in 2009 with some friends and had the time of my life. The people running the resort bent over backward to make sure everything was top notch. I decided to make the trip again in July 2012 and it was completely different. Some of the same boat captains were there, but the attitude... More

This restaurant had been highly recommended by a local, so I expect the food is good, and I also expect the service must sometimes be better. However, our experience was poor. Four of us were there on a Tuesday night in mid July. We were seated fairly quickly, and then apparently forgotten. After about 15 minutes we asked for menus... More

Salmon Falls Lodge, located on the inside passage in Ketchikan, Alaska, is a beautiful, incredible, insanely majestic place to vacation. Specializing in guided Salmon and Halibut fishing, they also offer freshwater options. And, you don’t have to be a fisherman to stay here and have a fabulous time! The fishing grounds are close, the wildlife is spectacular, and the scenery... More

I had to cancel my trip because the owner quoted me a price and then sent me a bill for $1000 more than she said it would be over the phone. When I called to correct the bill, I had assumed the price was so much more because the bill was showing for full-guided when I had chosen self-guided. She... More

Lodge and Restaurant sit on one of the most impressive and scenic locations I have visited. Eagles soar at eye level as you dine. Your view overlooks an ocean inlet and a magnificent waterfall. We have been a dozen times and the fishing has been excellent. Last year my family (4 of us) brought 420 lbs of salmon and halibut... More

My wife and I, along with a group of friends, had the pleasure of staying at the Salmon Falls Resort for 4 nights in August, 2009. First, the setting is beautiful. Salmon Falls is located about 15 miles north of Ketchikan on Revillagigedo Island, Alaska. It overlooks Betton Island (named by Capt. George Vancouver in 1793) and the Clover Passage.... More

This is a review of the restaurant only because we did not stay here but the restaurant was recommended by the owner of the Black Bear Inn. I did rate the rooms as a four because they looked very nice, but note I just looked inside a window. The restaurant is fabulous, I don't know why it isn't listed on... More

Salmon Falls resort...the title does not do this place justice! It should be called the Salmon falls experience. There is lodging that is of the log cabin style (very comfortable nothing fancy), a restruant were we ate some of the freshed fish, crab, oysters, and muscles, and had amazing steak and the best chowder I have ever had. Then there... More
