I came to the Sapa Hostel because the hostel that I had booked did not have a room for me. I was greeted in a very friendly manner and taken to my room. I stayed for 2 nights and was very glad to be here. The room was comfortable. I found the beds the most comfortable of any beds that... More

Great family run hostel. It is what is says a hostel so don't expect a hotel but the rooms are clean, beds are some of the most comfortable I've slept on in Vietnam and the lady manager was brilliant. Couldn't have been more helpful. Offered tours and treks and didn't push them on us which you get in other places... More

What really made this hostel experience work for me were the people running the place. to be completely honest, it wasn't like the room was perfect or anything. The market is nearby and is noisy in the morning. I was on the ground floor, and I could hear the comings and goings of people in the lobby, and in the... More

After a "sot sleeper" booked in Tonkin Hotel, Hanoi I was stiff and tired arriving at Lao Cai, even the prebooked minibus, waiting for more travellers from other trains, left an hour later and dropped us in front of the door. Mr Hiao, the manager or owner, welcomed us and gave me 302 on the secund floor in the front.... More

I stayed at the Sapa Hostel for one night in August, 2012. This is pretty much a standard hotel for what you would expect for this price range in Vietnam. However, there were some cleanliness and room problems which resulted in my having a less than optimal stay. First off, its important to note that some rooms, like the one... More

Very nice staff, location right next to the market, great view from the upper located rooms. Free WiFi. Not very clean. Towels and bed sheets glory years have already passed. Generally good and friendly place. Could be cleaner.

Rooms were ok for the price you paid, no ventilation though so it was pretty damp. Family that run the place were really friendly and helpful, didn't try to force tours on us either :) breakfast that we had was pretty good - omelette with veggies in it and a huge fresh baguette along with Vietnamese coffee for 40000vnd. Our room in this hostel was very spacious, but not too clean. For the money we paid it was ok, nothing special. The woman at the reception was very friendly and she can arrange transport from Lao Cai train station that drops you off in front of the hostel.

We stayed at this hostel for 2 nights when we arrived in Sapa. Large room had TV and hot shower. Wifi was poor in room but good downstairs. Washing facility was poor and we ended up doing most of it, including the drying ourselves. But when you take it all in to acount the price of $10 was very good... More

We stayed one night at this hostel. We had a little trouble finding it, and based off of business cards and signs in the lobby, I think it used to be called The Prince Hotel. Maybe that would've helped us. If you take the bus/minivan for 60,000d per person, then you walk downhill past a big grassy square from where... More
