The location is stunning, and it is the reason why I would get four stars. The view is worth the stay. The rondavel was OK (let's say OK), ... and the restaurant is disappointing (as it is often the case in the Kruger National Park), but, once again, what a view!

It was our first experience with Kruger accomodation, and we were not dissapointed. Check in is very efficient, the Rondavels are nice. In Olifants we had a rondavel which was a bit old, but still clean and comfortabel. A view at the river is absolutely a plus!

The Camp with the best view in the KNP. Fantastic views of the Olifants river flowing below the camp. There is a lovely restaurant and a shop which sells a wide variety of food stuff and curios. We were fortunate with the animal sightings and were lucky enough to encounter a pack of hyena with their pups.

Olifants has to be the best camp in the park. The position is beautiful, the camp is clean and neat and there is plenty of game in the vicinity. We stayed in unit 4 which has a river view. Been to the Kruger since childhood and Olifants still remains my favourite of all the "bigger" rest camps run by Sanparks. Its the location and view that makes the difference, so if possible book accommodation along the perimeter and stay more than one night to enable you to unpack and return to this tranquil setting after a day of game... Great place but would be even better if it had a swimming pool :) The service at the restaurants was lacking, they didn't know half the products they were selling - on the menu there was Veggie Burgers / But no restaurant had stock of Veggie patties - they did however replace it with a hash brown.
