Our first trip to South Africa (honeymoon) and we stayed at Bongani. We travel a good bit, but always try to spend wisely. Bongani was very reasonable, yet the value for the price paid was incredible. We were treated royally by the staff once they found out we were newlyweds. Staff, food, accommodations and nightly dinner events were all so... More

The Bongani Mountain Lodge is well located amongst some mountains along the southern border of the Kruger National Park and is a well appointed lodge with very good amenities. The rooms are very comfortable indeed and have an inside and outside shower. The restaurant provides good food and the game drives are very rewarding indeed... Evening time movement requires caution... More

On our travel we visited two private lodges, Thanda and Bongani. Thanda has won a big amount of prices but I must say I prefer Bongani. The room was wonderful and the bathroom beautiful with all natural materials. I slept marvellous. The bed was very comfortable. Unfourtunately it rained all the time so we didn´t use the pools. We saw... More

Great place! Everything is fantastic; the people, staff, rooms, pools and the food is incredible!!! The views from the rooms overlooking the mountains is spectacular as are the games drives which they offer there. Our guides Absolon and Wandile were fantastic and found us all of the big 5 ( apart from leopard) as well as African wild dog and... More

We were on our honeymoon tourIng South Africa and Bongani was the start of our holiday, the location and scenery were breathtaking. Our rangers Reckson and Simeon were very friendly, informative and great company. The accomadation was excellent, clean and very comfortable with some nice personal touches. We spent 3 nights at Bongani, with our children ages 4,11 and 12. It was our 4th stay at Bongani, though the last time we were there was many years ago, when it was still uner CC Africa management. The lodge itself hasn't changed at all: obviously the location is still absolutely fantastic and the rooms are still pretty much... More

Good day. Would like to thank you for taking the time to write your comments on Bongani! Just sorry that the R8 million refurb which has totally up-graded the lodge went unseen. Bongani has certainly come along way since CCAfrica had it. We now have Brand new rooms and brand new Land cruiser game viewers not to mention a host... More

For the first two nights we were the only guests in this lovely Lodge and it was a real treat. We had safaris all by ourselves with our great ranger Rex and tracker Simeon, had great brunches, lunches and a wonderful barbecue under the stars. The location is perfect and the view from the pool area is stunning. The bungalows... More

This beautiful 4 star property is a 30 min drive up the top of the mountains. The first thing to overcome is the mountainous drive in an open vehicle to the lodge. Keep your eyes open as you may also see some game. This property is more suited to people looking for a retreat or to totally relax and get... More

We were a large group who stayed at Bongani. The first surprise is the drive. It is at least half an hour in an open vehicle to the lodge. This is after you have driven 20min on a gravel road. The way up is spectacular and there is the possiblitlity to see wildlife on the way. It is like getting... More

We stayed in Nelspruit and our accommodation arranged a night Safari with Bongani Mountain Lodge, they met us near their private gate, a very rural track about 6 miles of the Main road to Maputo.
