All the 5s because that's what we experienced The owners could not have been more accommodating. Lovely room looking on to garden. Excellent food, great location. You make the place your home. We found mobs to do and the owners made excellent recommendations. It takes but a few minutes to work out the village and what's available - it's all... More

Nice property, close to ' the citycentre', good advise on trips etc. But all in all it just doesn't give you the wonderfull feeling that south african guesthouses tend give you. St Lucia itself (so many hippo's!!!!!) is ok for a night or two, but the town itself is pretty dull.

We've stayed in a variety of guest houses in S Africa over the years, but African Ambience proved to be disappointing. On the plus side, the house itself is clean (apart from lizard droppings on the bed, but hey this is Africa), and the bedrooms pleasant enough.
