We have stayed here a couple of times and received excellent service from all of the staff. The modern, large air-conditioned bedroom with open plan bathroom and giant bath was very comfortable and quiet. The location is very close to Gardens Shopping Centre, an Engen convenience store and various restaurants (Dunkley Square within walking distance has Maria's Greek restaurant and... More

First, this is a guest house or bed & breakfast, not a hotel. When we arrived it was late and the airline had lost our luggage. The street was very dark & our driver had difficulty finding it. Needless to say our first impression was not very good. The room was nice but we were expecting a hotel. The word... More

Our 5th stay at Dunkley and it was as good as ever. Its in a good location for walking to restaurants and the city and an easy drive from the airport. We are given a wonderful welcome by all the staff who look after us so well and we feel it is home from home. The breakfast are still the... More

Dunlkey House is well-located for the Cape Town night scene. Check out the restaurants a block away on Dunkley Square - all great. The service in the B&B is superb, breakfast is great (try the Eggs Benny!) and the accommodations very comfortable.

I didn't really know what to expect when I booked since this was my first time in South Africa and had no experience of guest house accommodation. The accommodation, staff and facilities we unbelievable and comparable to the best I have experienced in 5Star Hotels! The rooms are incredibly luxurious, breakfasts were good and I appreciated the honesty bar. Located... More

We stayed for two night at the start of our trip and two nights at the end. We had differant rooms, first one classic contempory and the second time Bay three. The rooms were fine but the toilet was not enclosed in either room, not good I feel, had I have known this before booking I would not have stayed.... More

We stayed at Dunkleyhouse for a week in February. We had the 2 bed apartment above the regular guest rooms, it was fine for us and our baby. it was great location for walking to many of the city bowl attractions, or just around to Dunkley square, or over to Kloof nek, and for driving further afield to Simonstown, Cape... We have had the most wonderful week at Dunkley House, a real gem of a boutique hotel. The combination of the stunning room and super-friendly and attentive staff has made our 'honeymoon' really special. Highly recommended and suberb value. The breakfast is am-a-z-ing! Thank you! My mom, sister and I stayed at Dunkley House from 16-22 July 2012. It was my second time there and their first. From the moment we were checked in by Grace we felt at home. She was very friendly and helpful. We were close enough to all the places we wanted to drive to. Parking was on the street and,... More
