If you want a good place with good breakfast for you and your couple its perfect. We took a private room witch was huge and it had its own bathroom and very clean. The garden is beautiful and when you have breakfast you can have a nice view. It was one of the best hostels i've been,

The Hostel Alamo has a beautiful garden, with asado and a small pool, ideal for a chill-down in the hot weather in Mendoza. Huge lockers are aviable. The only thing: I missed an A/C or at least a fan in the dorms. The staff is super friendly and a great atmosphere with other guests.

I definitely recommend staying here - I was only in Mendoza for 2 nights, but this hostel was the perfect place to crash at the end of a busy day of sightseeing/cycling round vineyards! The staff were very friendly and helpful with planning our trips. The facilities are really good and there's a nice homely feel to this not too... More

I planned to stay here three nights but stayed for a week! Felt secure there and not too noisy. Good breakfast, water always hot, rooms cleaned every day! Staff very friendly and met some great people there. It's also close to all the city has to offer including the wonderful San Martin park. You can also hire bikes there which... More

I have stayed here over 3 weeks, and it was one of the most pleasant hostels in my entire trip. Friendly staff, very clean and well located. The only thing ]i was missing where some comfortable chairs in the beautiful garden.

I enjoyed my stay in this hostel. The staff was friendly and some were very helpfull. The place attracts a varied crowd:mid-aged couples, youngsters and longterm travellers which gives the place a good atmosphere. Stuff from fridge or boxes disappeared, but thats due to the people, not the hostel. I loved the fact that they had a 'food to share'-shelf... More

Here's what you can expect here: hotel-quality linens and towels, dorm beds made up daily by the housekeeper, excellent breakfast by Argentinian standards, outstanding location across from a giant Carrefour supermarket/megastore and still close to charming city parks, friendly and pleasant staff. Really, a great place to stay as a homebase to explore lovely Mendoza!

This is a great hostal, clean, ,icely located, affordable, helpful and with good breakfast and amazing bathrooms. Also the rooms upstairs are great, but I had the bad luck to be dropped in a lesser room, which really influenced my sleep ( and that is still the mainreason to come to a hostel right ). Therefore I cannot give a... More

Beautiful garden, clean shared areas and breakfast provided. Service was very good on reception and made to feel very welcome even by the hostel cat Momo! Great location by one of the central squares, recommended to all backpackers wanting to spend some time in lovely Mendoza.

Welcome to Our Hostel...Bienvenidos! Hostel Alamo is among the most recent additions to Mendoza's hostel circuit. Once a family residence, we have renovated this beautiful and spacious home into a modern 14-bedroom hostel, while maintaining the integrity and charm of its original colonial style. The house was built in 1944 by the late architect Daniel Ramos Correa, who has made many significant architectural contributions to Mendoza, including participation in the city's main square, Plaza Independencia, and the Frank Romero Day Ampitheater, where the National Grape Harvest (Vendimia) Celebration is held annually. The lovely enclosed garden, terraces, fireplaces, and numerous windows throughout help to create the positive and cozy environment that is Hostel Alamo. Ideal Location...Hostel Alamo is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Mendoza, just a few blocks away from the main shopping and dining district. Literally just around the corner you’ll find one of the city’s newest and finest supermarkets, a bank, an internet and telephone cafe, a laundry facility, souvenir shops, kiosks, and a gas station, just to name a few.By car, we are merely 10 minutes from el Parque San Martín, 15 minutes from the bus terminal and 25 minutes from Mendoza’s Francisco Gabrielli Airport (better known as El Plumerillo). Our Mission...Hostel Alamo is owner-operated and together with our bilingual team, we strive to provide our guests with the highest standard of customer service with a personal touch. We make every effort to maintain a clean, comfortable, and relaxing atmosphere where our guests will always feel welcome and safe.
