My girlfriend and I arrived into Uspallata late at night after having to deal with roadworks coming in from the Chilean side. This was the only hotel that had accomodation availability although it wasnt our first choice. Rooms are basic. Beds are old but clean. Service was average. Breakfast was the highlight. Set in beautiful grounds.

It’s not easy to write a review about the Gran Hotel Uspallata. The hotel isn’t that good but we liked it even when it was special. The rooms are big and very clean, the location is good and it’s really quiet. You can’t expect that from every hotel in Uspallata because the road to Chile with all the trucks is... More

Do not confuse the hostel and hotel as many seem to do so even if they are located both on the same beautiful and large ground. For the hotel this was our 4th stay, we love the large rooms although they are outmoded, but is always disappointing, only table d ' hôte restaurant deserves a note. The buffet breakfast is... More

It is not a cheap hotel and I feel we didn't get our money's worth. We stayed there for a couple of nights occupying two bedrooms opposite each other because there are no suites available. The rooms are big and the beds are quite comfortable, although the sheets are of very poor quality. The hot water was tepid, and we... More

It should have been a good hotel, but no more. The heating does not work properly: a good heating is a must in the Uspallata winter! We had problems also in the bathroom with leaking water...The service is not good. They are not very nice in the front-desk and we had some problems in the restaurant: the only night we... More

I booked this hotel in www.hoteis.com and when I arrived, they told us that there wasn't any reservation. I don't know who made the wrong thing, but be cautious because they said that they don't make reservations on line. And there are offers on line... Poor service, rude front desk and food service very slow. If you don't like a... More

After a long day in the Andes we decided to stay in a hotel that was a bit different from the ordinary. Lonely Planet described it as a Peron-time high society mountain hotel and this seemed very appealing. Although a lot of time has passed from this period, we hoped to get a glimpse of that time. The first impression... More

We were travelling by car to Chile, so ideal for a stop over, as the other reviews said, this is a large, old fashioned Hotel, having said that, though the rooms were simple, everything was very clean, the gardens lovely, the pool looked inviting, it was obvious that the Hotel has a good management and everything looked well cared for,... This is an average hotel but best accomodation in Uspallata. This old and oldfashioned hotel is within a nice park and surrounded by nice mountain views. It is a couple of kms from the village itself. The rooms are basic with renovated bathroom as well but you sleep well. The food in restaurant is basic but your stomage gets filled.... More

My husband, 13 yr old son, and I spent the night here in a "family room." There were 5 beds in the room including a double. The bathroom was large and there was plenty of room - drawers, wardrobes, etc. The property had a pool (that wasn't open yet, they were just filling it), a ping pong table, tennis courts,... More
