I have visited La Paya in April 2012 by a friend's recommendation. I was not disappointed! The only way to reach there is by car, it is a little lost in a country road, a few kms from Cachi. I was a little nervous because the road is not very well indicated and from time to time I was wondering... More

Simply put, Finca la Paya is one of the nicest, cosiest, most comfortable places I've ever stayed. It's well worth the drive -- in fact, it's a conveniently located place to spend the night if you're planning to visit the Colomé winery in the afternoon. The rooms are quiet and super comfortable, the local cuisine dinner was filling and delicious... More

Get off route 40 and stay here. It is a few miles off the (literal) beaten path, several miles before/after (depending on direction) Cachi and worth it just to meet the family that runs the place and for the peace and quiet. Virginia and family will make you feel very welcome. The accommodation are a converted farm house. It features... More

After spending best part of a day driving Ruta 40 this was a super place to stay a few miles south of Cachi. Virginia made us very welcome. The accommodation is a converted 18th century farm house, dinner uses produce grown on the farm. And a small winery is being established. Totally peaceful, beautiful and breathtaking scenary - just a... More

La Paya is very remote, even for Argentina. You'll need to rent a car to get there. But this finca is a great, quiet place to stay. La Paya is a tiny village about 8km from the small town of Cachi. I would certainly recommend staying in La Paya over Cachi. The rooms look rustic but do the job. We... More

A simple review: we really loved the place. The room was great, good heating, lovely owners and staff, excellent food (breakfast, dinner, also at tea house), a warming fire place, and a great location. Nothing more to say...

Striking location at the top of a valley a few kilometres off the Molinos to Cachi route 40. Well signed and a real gem. Very traditional adobe buildings but with all modern comforts. Can only echo other travellers' praise. Great value, especially the delicious evening meal and loved the homemade cakes for breakfast. Also have nice "salon de te" just... More

This finca was the pleasant surprise of our trip. From the photos on their website, I expected something far more rustic. It turned out to be a tasteful, comfortable country inn. I have to admit that I was a little reluctant to post a review, it's the kind of place that you want to keep as your own little secret.... More
