After driving over the Paso de Lipan (4,100m) coming from Purmamarca and visiting Salinas Grandes (restaurant was closed here) we were happy to have a reservation at Hosteria de las Nubes in San Antonio de los Cobres where we were served cold beers and some sandwiches upon arrival to quell our hunger pangs. We drove from Purmamarca thru Salinas Grandes and stop in San Antonio de Los Cobres, road was a dirt road, so stopping for a shower and hot meal was great. It's a nice and clean hotel. If your planning to stop here be suer to have a reservation, not many rooms and hotels in town. And learn some spanish, this... More

The hotel was very clean, always warm (very important at 5 degrees outside), excellent food and very helpful and nice staff. We even had wifi in our rooms, which is not something certain in such a far off place. Loved the key ring of a hand made woolen lama :)

Probably the best place to stay in this awful mining town by lack of alternatives... The hotel is clean and rooms are spacious and clean. The restaurant offers correct food. Good place to stay next An experience to sleep at more than 2500m high !!! But the staff is very unfriendly and speaks hardly english...
