Stayed here for 5 nights. We were originally in a small twin room but were offered a bigger one the next day at no extra cost. Despite not speaking English, the owner helped us out with contacting the airport when our flight was cancelled and we stayed an extra night. My only criticism is that we were locked out one night whilst waiting for someone to answer the door bell.

Absolutely terrible. It takes a special talent to completely neglect a place to descend into such a terrible shape. My room was noisy, dark, with very old decor, filthy-looking bed throws, and moldy corners of a tight stinky bathroom. The only good thing was that the bed sheets were clean, but there wasn't anything else that would get a positive comment from me. By far one of the worst hotels I've visitied. Do yourself a favor: if you are on a budget, avoid this place!!

We based out of La Surena and went back and forth to The Frey for climbing. The service was great, they stored our extra bag for us when we would head up to The Frey and had a nice clean room with breakfast included when we returned. Rooms are small but clean and the staff is really nice.

This was a lovely hotel to stay at in Bariloche. The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was delicious each morning - especially the medialunas. The hotel seemed to be managed by an extremely hard working woman who was responsible for manning reception, preparing breakfast and housekeeping! Unfortunately she spoke no English so was unable to offer us recommendations on restaurants and activities etc. The only negative point I would mention was that the wifi signal was poor in the bedroom although it was excellent in the communal area on the ground floor. Would happily stay again.

Hi to everyone who read my reviews. Here is another one of the great places I have been in this 2016 south American trip. It is very well situated just a few squares from the center. When I got there I look for some tours and topk the information in order to compare it with what the hotel would have to say and also to check the prices. It appeared that the hotel gave me hints and prices on these tours and I decide to book it with the hotel. What a good choice that was, price wise and for the quality of service. The room was really comfortable and afordable. The staff was very nice and I have quality people from different countries ... such fun when that happens. breakfast was not included and even of it was a little expensive for the place (4USD per person) O chose to have there. So my froends of you ever happen to be in San Carlos De Bariloche Argentina, that is where you need to stay. Take a Remise cab and get with no dought. Have fun and while you there go for the Tronador tour .... it is really nice.…

Backpackers can't always afford luxary. At La Surena it was a treat to have our own room, bathroom, kitchenette and privacy. Price differed from hostel dorms with approx. 18$AP per night! Get a good rest, sleep in comfort and have a breakfast. You'll be ready for the next stretch! Clean, new interior, new beds and linen, fresh food. Central location and service with a smile. No kitchen in room, but you have a basin and fridge.

We came to Bariloche when everything was fully booked and prices were accordingly high. To find this medium priced gem of a place with individual designed rooms, generous bathroom spaces and high quality breakfast was like winning the lottery. Free wifi, friendly staff, great location. We will be back.

It's about a 15 minute walk to the Central square and the main tourist stuff in town, but you're not in Bariloche for the downtown anyway, right? The hotel itself - not very big, no elevator. and an extremely steep and narrow staircase. We had a room on the highest floor and 4 big suitcases to lug up - not fun. Also I don't recommend a street facing room. That said, the 4 person room we had had a small kitchenette (though no actual stove or kitchen cookware), a reasonably sized bathroom and a dining table, so fairly good size for the price. Breakfast is included. The food selections are sparse but sufficient. The restaurant area is gorgeous - someone really has put a lot of time into the decoration of the place. Even if I didn't eat a lot I just went down there at breakfast to sit and stare. Wifi worked in my room - we were directly above the lobby though so perhaps that helped. Front desk did not speak English very well, so beware if that's going to be an issue for you.…

Had a great stay here. Hotel is 2*, so don't expect anything fancy, but it's in a good location, nicely decorated, very clean, good shower and nice breakfast. We booked a room with 4 beds, but got 2 seperate rooms with a shared hallway and bathroom, plenty of space for our family of 5. Great budget option, highly recommended.

We saw the web site and booked upfront , the tiny hostedia is nothing like the web site!!! we stayed 2 nights in a very tiny room over priced in our opinion. Than we left for 2 nights to travel in the area when we came back we got a older room with mold in it , the smell was really bad , when we asked another room they told us the tiny hosteria is full, at the begining the cleaning lady which is also the receptionist told us that they last guests did not vetilate the room, but after I vetolated it , she agreed that they have a pluming problem, the smell was awful , the hosteria is about 70 years old !!!!! The owner was very rude and told us to leave after we asked our money back which we paid upfront. Listen to my advise you can do much better for the same price. Sorry for my poor English. Enjoy your vacation :-)…
