The things we wondered about before we went... will the bed be comfortable, will the food be alright for a picky eater, will there be enough food as there are no shops near, will there be enough to do, what will western riding be like, will I be able to buy a cowboy hat at the ranch, will the riding... Wonderful time and even better staff. Just like one of the family from the moment you arrive. Could not be a better "get away from it all". Home cooked meals best around, love the horses, living arrangements and staff. If you enjoy the outdoors this is for you. Do as much or kick back and just enjoy the rest. Best... More

My 18 year old daughter and I have taken trips together for 12 years with this our 3rd ranch vacation. Comments on line are right on about Grapevine. This place really does treat you like a well loved member of the family from the minute you drive through the front gate. The horses are well kept and well matched to... More

We spent 3 nights at this wonderful ranch one month prior to our wedding. We needed to "take a break", and this was the perfect choice. Although the ranch is a quick trip from Tucson, we felt as though we were in another world. We were checked in by the wonderful and friendly wrangler Sarah. She showed us around the... More

My husband and I wondered what to expect from a "rustic guest ranch". We were not prepared for the excellent experience we had. Yes, the cabins are basic, but extremely clean & very comfortable. The common areas have loads of ambiance. The meals were all excellent, particularly the "made to order" breakfasts. The staff, to a person, are more than... More

We are cityslickers. I never pictured myself wearing a cowboy hat, riding a horse through the dusty trails of Arizona. However, I am open to new adventures and to stretching my comfort zone. That being said, Grapevine, was an unexpected delight. The cabin was private and quiet, looking out on the Dragoon mountains. We rode the same appropriately-chosen horses (based... More

GCR is everything a ranch holiday should be: Fantastic Staff- the staff really make the ranch, and Id have to single out Bonnie for a special mention, as she is the most helpful & welcoming person I know! I have stayed at the ranch 5 times & each time I am made to feel like I am at home by... More
