the amara is being renovated--they're digging the pool, etc..but the staff has a dona a great job of making the best of it...quiet, good food and good value--its february and my interest in chipping a hole in the frozen waters is nil. the staff has youth, enthusiasm and a real desire to please. the location is VERY central in an... February 2012 - Amara has all the ambience of a college dormitory. The lobby and guest rooms have zero ambience and when I say zero I am being generous. The rooms are stark, dated and cheaply furnished. The indoor dated hottub is located in the corner of the fitness room -the three cardio machines face a bare wall and there... More

On Monday, Jan. 30, 2012 my husband and I arrived for a one night stay at the Amara Hotel, Restaurant and Spa in Sedona, AZ. Upon check-in we asked the Receptionist if there were any rooms with a view of the creek. She told us that those rooms were located in the area of heavy construction and that she would... More

I just returned from a stay at the Amara Hotel & Spa in Sedona Arizona. The resort staff was incredible from the moment we pulled onto the hotel property. We were met and welcomed personally and given complimentary valet parking. Check-in was simple and recommendations were made for activities. We dined in the award winning restaurant where we received outstanding... More

The Amara Resort and Spa is a perfect place to spend a few nights, while touring Sedona, Arizona. It is only steps away from the main shopping street, right down a hill, but it is set among the woods and the red rocks. The restaurant in the hotel, HUNDRED ROX, is great for breakfast, and has a lovely, upscale dinner... More

We stayed at the Amara Resort for two nights. The staff was incredible and was always ready to help us. The hotel was definitely clean, but not super fancy. I recommend asking for the newly refurbished rooms. While booking your vacation there, keep in mind that you will have to pay a resort fee. More

The Amara totally met our expectations! We got a phenomenal winter rate (I had asked for a weekend in Sedona for Christmas from my husband) and our room included an AWESOME breakfast! The best experience we had at the Amara was definitely the bartender, Jaime. She's a really sweet girl, our age (about 25ish) and we found ourselves back at... More

We stayed at the Amara Resort for two nights. The resort is in an excellent location... walking distance to shopping, dining, sight-seeing and hiking. We only had breakfast at the resort but it was very good. The resort does need updating but the staff was wonderful. More

My wife and I spent four nights here in January 2012. It was a wonderful trip. I booked the hotel because it's convenient location in uptown Sedona and the view from the website. It was nice being able to walk to a few restaurants and plenty of trinket shops. The hotel lists itself as a resort, which is quite a... More

This hotel is in the best location to walk to all the shops and restaurants in Sedona. The beds are really comfortable and the rooms are nicely appointed. Love the spa tubs! We had amazing massages, the spa is great. The creekside rooms are the best. Jaime, the bartender was very nice. Tash was also really great and very friendly... More
