This hotel in Williams is actually about an hour south of the Grand Canyon's South Rim. Unless you are among those who plan a year ahead and are able to book at the South Rim or Tusayan, Williams is about as close as you're going to get. We didn't have a view to speak of, but this is a sound... More

As a manager of people I recognize when the person leading a team of service people has either "checked out" or is a poor leader. This is clearly the case at this hotel. I read that about the problem a guest wrote about on Trip Advisor re curtains covering the room heater. The GM wrote back that they would address... More

I just returned from Arizona having stayed two nights pre and post Train trip to Grand Canyon. Hotel was very clean and service was excellent. Large rooms, clean bathrooms, and coffee maker and staff was very attentive asking at check in if we needed extra towels, or coffee. Bath amenities were provided in shower and free internet. Large lobby/lounge area... More

We spent 2 nights at the hotel. We didn't take the train but drove to the Grand Canyon. We enjoyed the nice, clean accommodations. The hotel was quiet and relaxing. More

I'm late in reviewing this hotel but must tell you what a great place this is! We did the "Rails to the Rim" pkg through AAA and stayed at this hotel. I was rather nervous about staying here due to few negative reviews, but the minute we walked into the beautiful lobby and got a chance to see our wonderful... More

Did not live up to our expectations. Dated but spacious room with basic bathroom. Poor value for price charged. Didn't care for buffet style restaurant or its location. Some food was cold although good choice available. Slow service. More

Arrival at busy holiday time but reception was polite and efficient. Room was comfortable but became cold overnight as the exterior temperature fell. Outside temperature was around freezing and the (noisy) room heating system could only blow the curtain around with little positive effect. Easy walk to Willliams township (on route 66). Eating in hotel is across in another building... More

We stayed in the deluxe room. I would definitely stay here again. The room was a one bedroom suite with a microwave & mini frig. Both rooms were very large and comfortable. We had a great view of the train station and cafe. My only recommendation is to bring your own pillow as theirs are very flat and hard. We've... More

We took a mini holiday on the Polar Express with our grandchildren the day after Christmas. We booked a package deal through the Grand Canyon Railway Reservation web site. The package included 1 night at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel, one dinner and one breakfast buffet, and a memorable ride on the Polar Express. I didn't have great expectations but... More

Arrival was nothing less than hectic, but we didn't expect otherwise with visiting the North Pole so close to Christmas time. The hotel staff looked stressed and unprepared, although Judy was a friendly face. The Spensers pub had great food (recommended over the buffet) and our waitress Erin was on top of everything. Now for the bad...after dinner we were... More
