Went there for a family dinner, the dinning room was spacious, clean and warm. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner area was recently decorated compared with the rest of the hotel. Nice bar and live music, a bit more work is needed on getting this hotel up to stratch, but was a very enjoyable evening, for a resonable price

Stayed 21.11.2012, Parking was easy, just outside the front door. This hotel has been quite grand in it's day, it has all the features that show it was the place to stay at, unfortunatley that time has passed. In the bar there is a mirror that looks like it needs a good clean (I did ask and was told it... More

This hotel is very homely, beautiful bar and the restaurant has been nicely decorated. Was here for an event and they served a great meal! The heating for the rooms could be turned down during the night. The only real downfall was the noticable scattered service provided by the staff.

On arrival greeted by lovely, helpful receptionist. On entering room (Cell) no heating and TV not working. Moved to other room unassisted no hot water or heating although this room was better.Went to reception to hand in spare/old room key to be greeted by the hotel manager. Simply the most ignorant man I have met in my life. His attitude... More

We had 3 rooms for 2 nights, The rooms were clean and airy, toiletries were supplied, internet was excellent in the bedrooms and throughout the hotel, The young man on reception both days was very friendly and helpful. The only negative comment I would have is the restaurant staff seemed unorganized and unfriendly, we ate in the restaurant the first... More

Stay one night and I was glad it was only one nite. The rooms were quite dated and in need of modernisation. Although the rooms did appear clean carpets/wallpaper just looked so old. Our room appeared to be put over the kitchen so our view was of large pipes!! The hotel did not appear any way full so I feel... More

Hayden's Hotel is located along the main street so it is convenient for all amenties. We had a wedding at the Shearwater but choose Hayden's due to its price. It is just around the corner so it was very handy. The service is a little lacking, perhaps needs to be modernised alittle. The room was large and clean and for... More

We popped in to try the food for the first time in about five years. There is an excellent selection on the menu and it is very reasonably priced. The size of the portions is perfect and it is good home cooked food.
