We stayed in Hotel Newport for 2 nights arriving on Friday 14th. We were due to stay a third night on the Sunday but we checked out early on Sunday morning and went and stayed in Westport for the third night.

We were in Newport to do a charity walk on Greenway .... Delightful and helpful service from young staff. Newly refurbished, clean, large room -- ours had rooftop view of Croagh Patrick -- and bathroom, excellent shower and bath. Breakfast menu stated "free range eggs and local meat" (and that's how they tasted). Decent coffee, good dinner menu. Very good...
