My family and I stayed in this hotel for nights to visit my bro in hosp. in Oct. 2011. The hotel was clean and has spacious bedrooms. The hotel lobby and stairs was grande. Location was perfect , adjacent to bus station, walking distance to the port and about 10 mins. drive to the hospital. The only problem was, they... More

I stayed 1 night at this hotel, when I arrived late in the evening by train from Madrid, in my way to Ceuta and Morocco. The hotel is located in front of the train station, and adjacent to the bus station. The Algeciras seaport is also at a walking distance from the hotel (~15 min walk). I booked online a... More

We were not expecting much in Algeciras, a stopover en route to Morocco but the Octavio was delightful. Old world charm and hospitality. The day manager was helpful, spoke good english and there were no problems using the free internet service for as long as we wanted. The hotel is in a perfect location for the train, bus from parts... More

We found this hotel to be just fine, despite some of the negative comments from other reviewers. Its location can't be beat - for bus, train or ferry travel; and for exploring the city, though there isn't much to see. We stayed two nights as we arrived by ferry from Morocco one day and then the following day, did a... More

En route from Morrocco during the Volcano hiatus we found this hotel to be charming. After an intitial reception that left us thinking we had stumbled into a Fawlty Towers episode the hotel was an oasis of peace and comfort. Despite the bus station's proximity you can't hear any noise. The dinner was tasty and good value and they served... More

The location of this hotel is its main asset. It is ideal for the train station, just across the road. Its ideal for the bus station, just next door. Its ideal for the port, ten minutes on foot or by taxi from the rank outside its door. The main shopping areas are easily reached within a few minutes. Apart from... More

After leaving Morocco the Octavia seems to have ticked all the boxes in getting us accustomed to Western life again. A short 15 minute walk from inside the port compound to the hotel. It is opposite the train station and above the bus station, ideal for the independent traveller. For $99 for the one night i thought it was well... More

This hotel is located just across the street from the RENFE railroad station, and next to the coach (bus) station for Algeciras. It is, therefore, the hotel of choice for anyone arriving late by rail or departing on the first train of the day. and particularly for anyone using a bus to get to nearby destinations such as La Linéa... Quite a drab hotel, with unhelpful staff and poor value for money (85 euros per night for a very uninspiring room). Very conveniently located opposite the train station, which is the reason you may want to stay here for a night as I did. Useful for getting out of Algeciras as soon as possible which is not really an interesting... More
