I stayed here with my Daughter and Grandson during half term in October. The hotel is 5 minutes away from the Myramar shopping centre which had loads of good shops and restaurants. There is also a Carrefour supermarket inside the centre which has everything you could ever want for a self catering holiday.
The hotel itself was really nice and clean and about a 20 minute walk along the river to the beginning of the Fuengirola promenade.
We were in the block over the top of the bar and it was a good size. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that the block didn’t get any sun at all and with it being late October you couldn’t sit on the balcony as it was very chilly. There was a bedroom with a wardrobe and 2 single beds. There were 2 bed settees in the kitchen/living room and another bed near the door. Unfortunately I found the beds too hard for me but my daughter and Grandson were ok on the bed settees. The kitchen had a microwave, hob and a fridge but no freezer. There were plenty of plates, dishes, glasses and cups and plenty of cutlery. In the living room was a tv with not many British tv channels but had BBC and ITV. There was also a table and chairs. The bathroom was clean and tidy and the shower was over the bath.
The bar was good and had a good variety of drinks and snacks and they had a Happy Hour every day.
We had breakfast twice in the restaurant next to the bar while we were there which was buffet style with hot and cold items which we thought was good value. We never used the restaurant at night so can’t comment on that.
The pool and pool area was very nice and there were always life guards in attendance. The pool didn’t open til 10, whether that’s an all year thing or just in the colder months I’m not sure but we had no problems at all getting beds and the atmosphere was great.
There was a gym and an indoor pool but we never used either. There was also tennis courts which seemed very well used.
Check in was very quick and easy and all the staff were very friendly.
I would definitely stay in this hotel again as we all enjoyed it.

We had a 10 day stay at Myramar Hotel, myself my husband and son (10). Everything went smoothly, we were nervous of flying out because of covid but in actual fact felt safer than in the U.K. The hotel had hand sanitizer readily available the hotel was thoroughly cleaned including our room. The pool area was very safe, lifeguards sanitising sun beds if they had been used ready for next person to use. It’s wasn’t overly busy so made it easy to socially distance. There was no entertainment because of the covid situation but we enjoyed walking out at night to eat out. There’s a shopping centre opposite the hotel with plenty of shops to browse round. And a huge supermarket that is reasonably priced too. Also a Lidl very close by so we could by essentials as we were self catering. A kettle, toaster, microwave and induction hob, along with a fridge made it very easy to keep us fed and watered during the day. The balcony for our room was plenty big enough with a view looking over the pool area. We watched the sunrise from our balcony a couple of times when we were up early. Thankyou to all the staff at Myramar, keep up the good work. And stay safe.

Spent a week here half board towards the end of January.
We had a one bedroomed apartment.
We chose half board as the price difference between self catering and half board was very reasonable and would still leave us with a budget to eat out two or three nights if we wished.
The apartment
A nice size with a separate bedroom, an entrance way, sitting room area with two sofas and a nest of three tables, a dining table with four chairs and a small kitchen area. Kettle, toaster, hob, fridge, microwave. There was a dustpan brush and mop and bucket in the kitchen which was very useful for any spills.
The bedroom and sitting area had access the the balcony which had a table and four chairs and a full sized drying rack which was great for drying swimwear and towels.
Room was swept and beds made everyday and surfaces wiped down. Very clean room.
Bathroom had a bath with shower over as well as a separate shower. Plenty of hot water and water pressure was very good.
Beds were a little hard. We would have liked the option of mattress toppers. They weren't as bad as some hotel beds we have encountered previously and we slept ok.

Hotel and location
The hotel itself was very nice. It may have been built a while ago but fixtures and fittings are very good quality and classic.
Outdoor pool was closed but there was a good indoor pool that we used a couple of time. A swim cap is mandatory and can be bought there for €4 if you don't have one.
The hotel is a little way from the centre. However the L1 bus goes from outside the hotel every 15 mins and is currently free to use.
Across from the hotel is a big shopping centre which includes a big supermarket and if you cross the little footbridge to the right of the hotel Lidl is a five min walk away.

Restaurant
This was very quiet at breakfast and evening meal. I think the majority of people go self catering at this hotel.
There was lots of choice and the food was tasty. However due to the slow turn around food was sat a while under heat lamps and was a little dried up and cool. There was a microwave to warm it up if required. The staff were very helpful and drinks were a reasonable price. €2for a soft drink. €3 for a large wine.
We would happily go back to this hotel again. It was very good value for money.

We visited here as a family and the staff were from start to finish very friendly and helpful. The security especially was excellent which also extended to controlling access to the pool area in the morning as well as the hotel which was a nice touch. The room was basic but clean however it lacked any essentials at all. A blunt knife and a few dishes and couple of pots and glasses was it. Not even a tea towel/kitchen roll or any detergent for dishes etc or any condiments at all meant having to spend €10-€15 on things you’d need for every day which you’d think would be provided for any apartment. The only other major let down was the smoking around the pool and sunbathing area. It was terrible with there being no non smoking/smoking areas. It was so bad on several days that at one time we had people to our front, behind us and to our right all smoking and we just gave up and went up to our rooms. There are ashtrays fixed to every parasol which isn’t much of a deterrent to smokers. It might sound petty but you’d think with families and children being around the pools and sunbathing area that it would be non smoking throughout. As a result I don’t think we’d go back due to these reasons.

Stayed at this hotel for a week in October with our 2 children aged 9 and 13. We had a lovely stay, we stayed in a ground floor room in block 3, the room had a lovely enclosed terrace with sunbeds and table and chairs with direct gated access to the poolside. The room was spotlessly clean with good, basic facilities. The room was cleaned and made up every day. Everywhere in this hotel is spotlessly clean, the pool area is especially great with plenty of sunbeds to choose from. The staff at reception are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is in a great location, away from the hustle and bustle and next to a great shopping centre with all the shops you could wish for! There is a great skate park beyond the shopping centre which my son loved and went to every day. There is a bit of a walk into town but this is a pleasant riverside walk and then a nice stroll along the seafront to the main restaurant streets in central Fuengirola with many, many restaurants to chose from. We ate in the hotel bar on the first day and the food was very pleasant. We ate in the hotel once for breakfast which is buffet style and lovely. We will definitely be returning to this hotel but will try to visit again in season to take advantage of the poolside bar and daytime and evening entertainment. Special shout out to the TUI rep who was always happy to help. Keep up the good work Hotel Myramar!!

Overall had a lovely stay here with the family, was reasonable for the 6 of us in comparison to other holidays abroad. We had a two bed which was really spacious with a nice kitchen/lounge area and pool view. Nice to have the benefit of an apartment in hotel facilities for a large family or group.
The lifeguards were great saw them pull a boy out in literally seconds who had got into trouble in the deep end (parents not with him) they didn’t keep their eyes off the pool and I liked that. A child also went to the toilet in the kids pool and was impressed that they cleaned it and closed it for the day, would rather that than funny tummy’s! Really nice parts like the outdoor bar, spa and lobby and plants which definitely compare to 4 stars I’ve stayed in, really relaxing place to sit and make use of happy hour.
Loads of sunbeds so no stress to get one and this was peak time. Pool is huge and kids loved it. Nice and spacious pool area not on top of each other at all.
Downsides all three of my children kept cutting their feet in the big pool, one time two cuts on both feet with really bad bleeding so travelling home with a hobbling kid was fun, I think this is where the loose mosaic tiles are like bits of glass at the bottom. Other kids there had the same issue. Again lifeguards pulled out the tile and bandaged her feet were fab. Staff were helpful they found my daughters shoes we lost x2 and returned them. Kids disco was the worst we’ve experienced as they have 5 minutes of dancing then a pretty boring game that most kids get told they’re out of so spend the time watching a few kids. My two year old was told she couldn’t dance after 3 minutes of a game which she clearly didn’t get so had lots of tears! Teacher vibes not holiday fun! Was literally told to sit down when she was dancing away! such an easy fix to make the holiday more enjoyable for parents and kids just let them dance about to rubbish music without the weird competitions it was just boring for the majority, maybe ok for older kids. Shopping centre was great, really great food and shops. I liked the location but residential won’t suit you if you want resort/beach vibes it’s defo a hotel with a great pool but doesn’t feel like going to a resort. The front was fun and I loved the old town. House keeping was great, couldn't fault it room was cleaned a few times and beds changed everyday with fresh towels loo roll etc. lidyl is across the bridge or through the weird dirt track bit which was fine took 10 mins. Cheaper than the shopping mall.

Nice Hotel near Fuengirola. We stayed here 4th to 18th September, rooms are spacious and well maintained cleaned every day clean towels every day beds changed twice weekly.Staff all friendly and helpful,Pool area kept clean ,pool doesn’t open until 10:30 which is a little late for some but never had a problem getting a sun bed.Pool bar/Snack bar reasonably priced Drinks and food of good quality.Although we stayed on a self catering basis we did have our evening meal at the restaurant on four occasions and found the food to be of good value and quality.
Reception staff will order you a Taxy and it will be at the front door in 2 minutes.
The Hotel no longer has foreign exchange facilities but there’s plenty in town.
Ten minutes walk to nearest beach ,about 20 minutes walk to centre of Fuengirola.
Taxy into town about 7 Euros or 1 Euro 15 Cents on bus.
If ever in Fuengirola would stay here again.

Highly recommend - we were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. All the staff were friendly but the front of house team were amazing. We will defiantly be visiting again - hopefully this year. The location suited us, you could either walk or get the local free bus into the centre of Fuengirola and the train station. The apartments are a short stroll to the beach and a large shopping centre which comes in handy if you are self catering. We went half board and the on site restaurant offered a good selection of dishes.

Good hotel with good facilities, but a 30-40 minute walk to the centre (train or bus station). A good size pool and large grounds with several tennis courts etc. Outdoor bar/food at lunchtimes and a nice restaurant indoors for breakfast / dinner. Rooms are good standard with balcony, we had a TV in the bedroom as well as the living room. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and appliances, including a microwave. Bring your own washing up liquid, dish cloth and tea towel as none provided. The kettle was faulty and immediately replaced. Not in the centre of town, however the bus No 1 stops virtually outside the hotel and runs every 10 or 15 minutes in to town (Eu 1.40 per adult ticket per journey). The Miramar shopping complex is only a few steps away with very large Carrefour supermarket (and lots of other shops). All in all, everything is of a decent standard and I can recommend this hotel.

We travelled as a family of 4. The hotel is spotless clean and the staff were all lovely from the reception staff to the cleaners. We had a one bedroom apartment, it was quite small but perfect for a holiday as you are only really sleeping in it. The matresses were very hard and the boys said the same about the sofa beds but it wasn't an issue, we got a good sleep. The kitchen area was fairly small but again was absolutley fine for making the odd snack. There is no oven or freezer box in the fridge but you know that anyway from the description of the rooms etc. The pool area opens at 10.30am but that really suited us as we were up late and quite tired in the morning so wouldn't be going to the pool any earlier than this. There is a queue waiting for the pool to open. I believe people are queing up from 8am, there is no need for this at all, I always joined the queue at 10.15 am and got loungers where I wanted and also had loungers right next to people that I saw at the front of the queue. If you don't go at 10.30am you would not get a lounger until later on in the afternoon maybe from 3/4pm which suited us some days when we went to the beach and would return to spend the last few hours at the pool before closing at 7.30pm. There are no pubs or restaurants around the hotel with a holiday vibe but there are loads of places to eat in the huge shopping centre across the road with all the chain stores and off course the hotel but we didn't eat there. There was a snack bar at the pool but when I checked the menu it looked like quite big portions rather than small snacks and price started from about €10. The supermarket is in the shopping centre also and if you want to walk 10 minutes there is a Lidl. The beach was about a 20 mins walk away in 35 degrees heat with 2 children so maybe quicker if cooler and no children, down there is definitely a holiday vibe with loads of pubs, restaurants, ice-cream parlours and souvenir shops. Loads of choice of food from fish restaturants, italians and Indians. The sun loungers on the beach were €7 each which is quite good for the whole day. Overall the hotel was spotless, lovely staff and the children enjoyed the entertainment.
