Was really excited about staying at The Parador due to its location, and what i had read in brochures/website. It was the most expensive of the hotels we chose on the island and the only one we didn't really enjoy. It just lacked soul, once the sun went down we expected to sit by the fire as i had seen... The setting is amazing and this makes up for a variable hotel stay experience. Very little information is given so basic things like check-in/out time, parking facilities, restaurant opening remain a secret until arrival. We visited mid-week but there were still quite a few guests staying. Check-in felt more like entering another country. The welcome wasn't very friendly and the... More

Great views from our room ( no 101). Lots of stars in the night. Food ok. I would recommend it very much because of the location. More

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel at the foot of the Teide volcano. The hotel is remote so a car is of the essence if you want to remain mobile. it is located at 2200 m altidude in the middle of the caldera of the Teide national park. The cable car that brings you to the top of the... More

Amazingly awful, unhelpful staff, extremely poor food- in that it was non-existant. I had expected poor value and high cost - but I had not expected to check that they were open and serving, therefore arrive, to only then be told no food could be served as either a bar or restaurant menu. Apparently they are full. There was the... More

aretreats modern(ish) take on the usual Parador experience. Pleasant enough ambiance and good food including vegetarian and coleac menus. The only gripe with the food was that it arrived only just warm and cooled very fast but this could be the penalty of preparing and serving food at 2200m. I took a room with a view of the main peak... More

This hotel looks like nothing from the outside but is magic inside with all the welcoming service and creature comforts that Parador provide so well; don't forget to ask for a room with a view..and what views they are. More

The position of the parador is extraordinary and for all Tenerife visitors an absolute must. The rooms are very nice with beautiful view on the mountains. The price value (we paid 100 Euro/ night) is good. Two points to optimize are service and food. The receptionists don't really care about their clients. The food is good, but also rather expensive.... More

Spent 3 nights here. It's a wonderful location but a bit remote. Foodwise breakfasts were very good but dinners pretty average and it's a long drive to find an alternative restaurant. Room was spacious and comfortable with a massive king++ bed. Overall a very positive experience but 3 days was enough. More

It was 20 years ago when we decided to come to this unique hotel in the canadas. The location is spacique! But our room has a view only in the atrium of the hotel! In the evening the seating in the restaurant is a little disappointing - the lightning in the room is without respect to the great view. No... More
