Tried to book this b&b for a weekend away for myself and a few friends. The owners were both very rude and refused to let me book purely because I was visiting Lyme Regis for a diving trip. Apparently they will also demand upfront payment and be reluctant to let you book if you are going to a wedding!! All... More

The Manaton was great value accomodation, great location, very clean, wonderful hosts and a beautiful breakfast. Our stay at the Manaton was just fantastic but if there is one criticism the room was quite compact.

We stayed in the family room, which was cosy (in a good way). The children loved the bunk beds. We hadn't realised the bathroom was down the corridor, but that was fine. Not too far to walk into the town. All in all, pretty good. We even found an icthyiosaur vertabrae!

John's witty banter and Glenda's absolutely superb breakfasts make this a winning formula! Rooms aren't huge, nor the bathroom but both spotlessly clean and have quality touches like good matching hangers (and not the 'slot in the top' ones) and best loo paper ever!! Our family stayed here recently for a number of nights and enjoyed our visit. It has the highest standard of cleanliness and service that we have come across. The owners do go that little bit extra to help you out. highest marks earned.

recently stayed when the weather was terrible. luckily we were warm cosy and very well looked after by Glenda and John, our rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely as was the room we ate in and we got plenty of advice about local things. Would definitely stay here again which I think is the best recommendation anyone... More

My husband, myself and our 13 year old son had a 3 night stay at Manaton just before the Easter weekend and we were very happy with everything.
