We called for a meal on Thursday evening and received a warm welcome. After a relaxing pre-meal drink we enjoyed an early evening meal in agreeable surroundings offering good real ales and well sourced local food. A really nice hotel. Well appointed common rooms.Helpful and friendly staff and an excellent freshly cooked breakfast.We stayed in a luxury room however which at £160 per night was no bigger than a normal sized hotel room and poor value.
