I have just returned from a friends hen weekend at the tipi retreat and had the best time. There were 10 of us who stayed in 2 tipis. The tipi camps had everything that you needed and were beautiful. The camp was pure luxury and the owners had thought of everything. Gilly was extremely helpful and welcoming and helped us... More

Had two fab nights. Back to nature. The tipi was enormous, n warm. The hot tub n the view over the black mountains will stay with me forever. My 11 year old daughter had the time of her life, toasting marshmallows on the open fire, playing in the stream. Best part was the massage from Jilly, omg just go for... More

Just returned from a two night stay at tipi retreat. A lovely experience -everything is provided and the compost loo was sweet smelling and sooooo cute! The bubbling brook running alongside the camp is perfect for the kids to play in and provides a soothing background music. The setting is beautiful and the covered stoop ensures that the experience can... More

The most fantastic setting and nice and warm in bed despite the dreadful weather. Problems with the shower were quickly rectified and we were strangely impressed with the compost toilet! The stream made an excellent place to chill bottles of wine and the firepit meant we could sit outside even though it was a bit chilly. The only thing I... More

The facilities are fantastic with everything comfortably to hand. The gas powered shower and the green toilet are close and convenient - almost like having en suite facilities. The kitchen was well appointed and had... More

Beautiful location, flawless service and a fantastic set up. We both really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be going back. We've recommended it to everyone! Jilly (the owner) was warm and welcoming and has the greatest reversing skills the Black Mountain must have ever seen. Go go go! And thank you to Jilly, Michael and Steve for a... More

we had a wonderful time - there was something for all of us to enjoy. The tipi was great fun for our boys (7 and 10) and provided a very relaxing environment for the grown ups. The boys enjoyed building damns and bridges in the stream and mastering toasting the perfect marshmallow. The tipi is in a truly magical location... More

Our group of 5 recently stayed for a weekend (3 nights) at a fantastic price of £250. Upon first arriving at the site, we were all blown away with the location. It's simply beautiful! We were provided with fire wood, which we used to create a fire for warmth/BBQ every night, which proved to be great fun! The owners were... More
