Last year i was in Canaiam and we stayed in Tapuy Lodge. Its location is really perfect , right in front of the lagoon, in the garden of the Canaima. The staff were great, and the food is execellent . You can not believe at such atmposhpere, how these guys create good services in detail. Thanks for all friends there... More

Perfect place in earth.. You forget all the bust and compexity of the ourside world. Feel like in Paradise. Good food , excellent service. English spoken. Good guides, excellent excursions. Local feel, but provides also for those who got used to top quality. Any tours can be arranged at the hotel very efficiently. Transfer to the airtrip. Smooth organisation.

Pretty lagoon side location with lovely views of the local Sapo falls (NOT the Angel!) Comfortable room, a/c etc., lighting poor, housekeeping good. Hot water intermittent and hard to control temperature, they seemed to keep turning off the pump. Staff fairly well trained & attentive. Good food in lovely surroundings. Get used to soup to start every meal! Recommended. Angelina... More

Wow! I'll say it again ... Wow! Traveling in Venezuela is tough. I'm an Aussie and even I found it hot and humid, all day every day. Then there's the unreliability of the Venezuelan transport system. To get to Canaima Lagoon was 2 flights on small aircraft, which invariably ran late. Returning was even more difficult, waiting at the airport... More

The hotel is pretty good. Rooms are clean and modern. Sadly we didn't have hot water. Watch out for their funny rules on alcohol, they don't have any beer. Also, when we returned from two days in the jungle they wouldn't let us have a shower or provide us with lunch as promised - a poor ending

This Lodge was built in 2006 and is one of the three hotels located directly on the beach of the famous Canaima Lagoon, one of the most beautiful places in Venezuela. From the beach you will have a stunning view over the various waterfalls and the majestic Table-top Mountains “Cerro Venado” and “Cerro Kursari”. The lodge has been built according to the typical Indigenous style to fit into the landscape, combining tradition with modern life. “Tapuy“ means “roof of a big palm tree” in Pemon language. Spend some time in our rustic restaurant or the bar in an indigenous-style Churuata, just a few steps away from the rooms. Our staff will spoil you with national, international or indigenous-style meals. There are 16 superior rooms that have been tastefully decorated and include air conditioning and a fan.
