I have been staying at Le Savanna for several years. It is close to where I work when in Kisumu. The staff is lovely, the rooms are clean, their wifi works as long as they have electricity, and it's air conditioned. The food is adequate, and service can be very slow if you are eating on the patio. If you... More

I did not have high expectations for lodging in Kisumu, but this place was terrific. A former mansion that had fallen into disrepair has been carefully updated. The grounds surrounding the mansion are luscious, and tables with umbrellas are set up around the grounds where you can take meals or drinks. I stayed in a small new unit outside of... More

Le Savanna Country Hotel is clean, beautiful, well constructed, locally owned, and an overall pleasant place to stay in Kisumu. The drivers and staff are local, pleasant, and helpful. The cooks have a great menu selection, and are willing to go out of their way to meet your dietary needs. This hotel also has the best pool in town -... More

I arrived late in Evening to a warm welcome, place into the room of my choice, so clean big, comfortable, hot hot shower, balcony overlooking beautiful gardens, the grounds superb, the swimming pool awesome. Never in Kenya have a seen such quality at a tiny price. The service of the staff right from the Manager Richard down to the girls... More

After more than 24 hours of travelling (from Denmark to Kisumu) we arrived at around 8 am in the morning to Le Savanna, we had found it on Tripadvisor and Foursquare but also got it recommended - for us it was a pleasant surprise to see such clean and nice place as our first sight of Kenya! The rooms were... More

I came to Kisumu not knowing what to expect in terms of accommodation and a friend referred me to Le Savanna. And what a pleasant surprise! The rooms were clean, the food was good and they definitely cater to the business traveller. I would recommend this hidden gem to anyone visiting Kisumu. And when you do decide to unwind at... More

The hotel is slightly out of town, but easily and cheaply reached by taxi or boda-boda (a motorbike taxi that can take two passengers, or one plus luggage) And worth it if only because town can get very noisy, especially at weekends, Very friendly and efficient staff, good food, especially the Friday night African buffet..mmm. There's a decent pool, which... More

We recently stayed in the Le Savanna Country Hotel and Lodge and the suite we had was spacious and well appointed. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The only area of improvement is the restaurant. We waited for dinner for over 2 hours two different evenings even after repeatedly going to the waiter to ask what was... More

Stayed here over Easter and also over Xmas in 2011, among the places one can find a combination of a country restaurant, quick access to the town centre, shopping malls and the Lake Victoria, oh and the swimming pool which kept the kids well occupied. The food is made as homely as one would get in a restaurant. Internet and... More

Stayed here over Easter,2012, with several family friends. Despite the lack of clear directions from the front office(had to hire a local motorbike-taxi to show the way eventually!), we finally arrived.Very good, courteous and attentive staff.Yes, we strained them due to the presence of many toddlers and babies in our party but they went out of their way to make...
