Lovely old building in the centre of town providing crisp, clean linen on a comfortable bed in a very spacious room with VERY high ceilings! Easy walking to many restaurants and other interesting places. Also drive just 10km's out of town to see the Valley of Desolation.

The Guest House is perfect for an overnight stop, both in its location and services it offers. Love that they have a restuarant on the premises and the food is really good, esp the Karroo Lamb Rooms are comfortable

The Karoopark is a guesthouse set in a garden environment. We had rooms 19 and 20, and although a little spartan they were certainly adequate. The "welcome" at reception was like an ice-cold shower, a very arrogant lady. We asked to see a room before taking it (luckily! because it was not worth the R950 for 3 without breakfast). Nice rooms with clean bathroom. Comfortable bed, with swimming pool to cool off on hot days. Restaurant serves very good local fare including Karoo lamb & potjie (stew). Much below expectations ...not even the basic necessities like dressing mirror, bathing soaps, etc, were not provided. Inadequate small fans, poor hygiene of rooms, no mosquito repellent. Unfriendly and apathetic behaviour. Not worth value of money.

Excellent guest house for the platteland. Nice to have a restaurant inside the establishment, biput poor service and average food?
