“"Orlando-like" feel with good security”

This hotel is about 20 miles east of Las Americas Airport and 1/2 mile from the nearest beach access. It is located in a golf course development that resembles an Orlando, FL neighborhood. “No longer an Embassy Suites”

Embassy Suites name has been removed from the building and everywhere inside. Hotel seems to be heading downhill. Rooms are clean, but old. The breakfast is simply "OK". “A nice place”

We've been there in March 2012 for a wedding and really enjoyed our stay. They have a shuttle to the beach. Very good breakfast and nice staff. Big rooms with good amenities. The beach is fine as well. Overall Juan Dolio is a nice place for a vacation. I can recommend it.

“Mixed Feelings”

The Hotel is OK if your are looking for a place to Relax and do nothing. Breakfast was very good, room is old furnitured, golf at the facility but NO beach. The surrounding areas (Juan Dolio) have several restaurants beachfront but not too secure latenight, so not good place for the whole family.

“Filthy hotel, linens, napkins, towels.... Horrid”

Stayed there 2 nights, the AC does not cool well in the room, the open common areas were hot as well. The most terrible things were the filthy linens and stained napkins at the restaurants. Stayed there off and on for 3 weeks for business and pleasure. Really a great deal! Breakfast is great with omelet bar and good selection. Manager's Reception with free drinks in the evening.
