We stayed two nights in April. The hotel arranged for a driver to meet us at the Aqoba border crossing. We got off to a questionable start as the driver was about 30 minutes late. But he turned out to be personable and everything after that was truly wonderful. We had breakfast twice and ate both at the Italian restaurant...

The 100 room hotel was built in 1996 and has recently gone under a major renovation before being branded as a Marriott. The hotel is a short five minutes drive from the Visitor Center at the entrance of the historic and magnificent Petra the Rose-Red City which was built by the Nabataeans over 2000 years ago. For dining and entertainment, the Petra Marriott has a casual restaurant and a bar/lounge. Recreational amenities include a Fitness Club with a sauna, outdoor swimming pool and a Turkish Bath. Other amenities include a 24 hours room service, a 56 seats auditorium, in room mini bar, a gift shop, surface parking for 28 cars. For social events and conference the Petra Marriott offers 1790 sq feet of meeting space, which is divisible into two sections.
