Organized by Octopus Garden & hosted at Northern Edge this was by far the best of the many retreats I've been to. Simple, clean accommodations. A fantastic setting. Brilliant food for all food preferences including gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan that was made the best use of local ingredients & creatively prepared. Our hosts were attentive, caring & ready to help out... More

I just experienced the most amazing weekend up at the Edge. I was a little apprehensive at first to book the trip because many of the reviews on this site comment on the Edge's summer adventures, so I wasn't sure what to make of the Making Tracks experience. After completing the 3 day weekend at this beautiful little spot, I... More

My wife and I who are 65+ yrs have just completed an amazing 3 day winter adventure which involved snow-shoes, xcountry skiing, and the opportunity to handle our own dog sled. We had a blast!.The accommodations, staffing and meals were 5 star. Great care was taken to ensure the intensity of the activity matched each indivdual's ability which for us... More

I have read through the reviews and agree with all that has been said. I would add that in December, they completed building a Finnish-style sauna and it is wonderful. I love the accommodations and the off-the-grid aspect of NE. I've slept deeply in both the two-bedroom cabins and dorm cabin and appreciate that these cabins include a modest WC... More

From the lake shore you can see one of the windswept pines right out of a Group of Seven painting - this is where they came to paint the 'real' Canadian wilderness 100 years ago. While it is a significant sojourn to get there, spending time at Northern Edge Algonquin is a magical experience that you will never forget. We... More

Three of us spent one night in one of the chalets and the next night in the Algonquin Park. I cannot fully express how beautiful we found the surroundings, how comfortable the accomodations were and how wonderful the people are. Simply an incredible time. I will certainly be going back and would recommend this to anyone.

The experience at Northern Edge provides experiences that help focus one's mind while communing with the natural surrounding. The Dreamtime cabin was clean and luxurious while embedded in the woods. There are several highlights: - watching meteors across the brilliant star lit sky from the dock - paddling and exploring the lake often frequented by the group of seven artists... More

We experienced a 4-day stay, with 3 days in canoes and tents. The family gave us a warm reception. It was an absolutely fantastic experience. Travelling as a family with 2 kids (13 & 15) they had a blast. We saw a large amount of animals and had great fun. Visitors choosing this experience should make sure they are ready... More

I'd heard lots of great things about the "Edge" but it wasn't until I went there that I truly understood why it's so special. The stunning location, the warm hospitality, the peace & quiet, the incredible cuisine - I didn't want to leave. I loved the outdoor yoga where you could stretch with a breeze blowing over you & the... More
