We loved our stay at this resort. The staff was friendly, the grounds were beautiful, and the food at the breakfast each day was five-star. The room and its decor are fabulous; no detail was overlooked. Every inch of that space was well thought-out and clean, with cute details. My only criticism is that the pool area lacks charm and... Our stay at the Borrego Valley Inn was just what I needed . . . a serene environment . . . a quiet and meditative experience. If you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city life or if you need to de-stress from your work environment, then this is the place to go. Spectacular... More

We came to Borrego for a wedding and stayed at the Inn. The rooms were clean with fresh linens on the beds, the breakfasts were all homemade breads and fresh juices, yummy bacon and eggs. We will be sure to return if ever in Borrego Springs again.

Thanks so much for staying with us. We had a great time meeting all the wedding guests -- such a festive, celebratory occasion! We're happy to know you had a wonderful stay, and we hope you have the chance to visit again. Remember, when the SoCal coast is socked in with chilly fog, we're basking in warm, dry sunshine out... This B&B is isolated, small (14 SW theme casitas) , quiet, and geared toward adults. After meeting the "inkeepers" on a San Diego airplane flight, my wife and I had delayed going on this get-away for many years...but now will be going back no fewer than twice a year. Take a look at their website. It is everything it claims... More

Love the airplane story -- how funny! Thanks so much for making that "delayed" trip to the Inn, and we're happy to know you enjoyed your stay. We sincerely appreciate your note about our staff -- what a great group of people! We're thrilled you consider the Inn a "must visit," and we look forward to welcoming you back. Especially... More

Nice, relaxing place to stay. Adobe building with private patio in the back (2 chairs and 2 chaise lounges) or two chairs out front facing a quiet courtyard with birds and desert plants. Perfect for a glass of wine in the evening and watching the sunset. Rooms are nicely decorated, fridge (no freezer compartment), microwave, coffee maker and a few... More

Thanks very much for visiting us and for taking the time for your post. We're glad you found the Inn relaxing. Thanks for the heads up on the issues you found -- specifics are very helpful, (sometime we just don't have enough ears and eyes!). We are switching to a new in-room amenity line, too -- we hope you'll enjoy... More

This is an ideal place to get away and "unplug". Breakfast is delicious. Staff extremely accomodating. The pool feels great after a hot and dusty hike. The pool is a bit tired, but I believe they are renovating one of their pools as of April 2013. We would recommend Borrego Valley Inn and will return in the future. Suggestions: 1)... More

We're so glad you visited and found the Inn a great place to unplug -- we all need that, don't we? Glad you liked breakfast, our friendly staff, and a cool pool to unwind in after hiking. Your visit occurred as in the midst of our clean-up after a monster windstorm on April 8 (90mph winds!) completely scoured our landscaping... More

This is the second time my husband and I have visited the Inn. It fits beautifully into the dessert country with adobe buildings surrounding a courtyard filled with native plants and desert birds, even a road runner who happily struts around for visitors to admire. The rooms are decorated in classic southwest style, and taking a shower while watching the... More

Thanks for returning! As east coast natives ourselves, we surely understand the appeal of such a different environment. It sounds like you soaked it all in -- sun, stars, and sassy roadrunners. There was a time when we, too, "didn't want to leave," and look what happened! We appreciate your visit and your kind post, and we hope to welcome... More

Delicious breakfast and cookies. Extremely kind staff. Great place to stay. It's the best place in Borrego Springs. They go the extra mile there -- cokes and tea out all day long. Cookies at 4:00. Maps to help you get to restaurants. Brochures for guided tours. The theme and architecture is southwest. You feel like you're in Santa Fe instead... More

Music to our ears, and thanks very much! We "love the place," too, and we're very happy you were happy here. Thanks for the note about the "extra mile" and our staff. We are very fortunate to have such a great team with us. Aren't the Galleta Meadows sculptures wild and wonderful? And fun that they are so close! We're... More

We stayed one night at the inn last week. Thank you for your visit last week and for your review. We're happy you found "peaceful luxury" at the Inn. Providing that kind of experience out here in "total wilderness" is an expensive proposition for us, too! Peak season rates are in effect from mid-February through April, so plan your next visit to take advantage of budget-friendly special offers for... More

My wife discovered this 15-room gem in in the middle of California's largest, but often overlooked, state park -- Anza-Borrego. The Borrego Valley Inn (BVI) is located in quirky Borrego Springs, which once had aspirations of becoming the next Palm Springs. The BVI lies a quick one-mile drive from park headquarters and offers a full array of services and amenities.... More

Many thanks for your thoughtful post -- it sure sounds like you made the most of your visit to the Inn and our quirky little town, and that makes us extremely happy.
