I love cooking and I've been to many cooking schools around the world but most of them have a maximum of 2 to 3 days of cooking. I wanted something more intense and classes where I can learn hands on from food preparation, menu planning and presentation, just like a professional chef. When I found Casa Lana, I was thrilled... The things we learned were very helpful in our quest to be better and more healthy cooks in our own kitchens. We have gotten a lot of new recipes from different cuisines around the world but have also learned to make our own recipes better. this was a great experience for my daughters and myself. More

We went to CasaLana in June 2011 and stayed for three nights. Lana was a great host and great chef. We enjoyed the tasty breakfast as well as the clean and comfortable room. We enjoyed the quietness right outside of our room in the evenings. Downtown Calistoga is within 5-10 minutes walking distance (or 2 minutes bicycling) from CasaLana. I... More

My wife and I loved staying with Lana, a great host and willing to help at every turn. Our room was large, clean and very comfortable. The best breakfasts ever. More

Casa Lana was an incredible find, thanks to other reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. The room was modern and beautiful with windows on three sides, out of which we had gorgeous views of trees, the rose garden, vegetable garden, river and secluded hot tub (with pull down shades). The bed was incredibly comfortable. Lana was a gracious host... More

I took myself on a Cooking Getaway in November - what a beautiful time of year to enjoy Calistoga and all of Napa Valley! I had the perfect vacation at CasaLana where I cooked and stayed at her lovely Bed & Breakfast. The 3 Day Cooking School was great with the Hands On training and tips and I had the... More

If there is one place where you can enjoy tranquility, a charming room and delectable breakfasts, then you should stay at Casa Lana. The quaint house only has two rooms and are situated such that they each have their own entrance for privacy. It sits right beside the small Napa River and the flowing stream is pratically the only thing... More

Friends and I did the three day cooking course with Lana and stayed in her two room B&b. We enjoyed our comfortable rooms and learned plenty about cooking during our stay. Lana had good tips for nearby shopping and other sights as well. The breakfasts were excellent! The beds were super comfy. More

Had a fabulous stay at CasaLana this past August. Took the 5 day cooking class and stayed upstairs in the B&B during our time there. The class was excellent. I do quite a bit of cooking, but really learned a lot from Lana and felt that she tailored her class well to the student's interests. The room was very clean... More

Our first visit to Napa. Found Casa Lana a perfect respite at the end of very active days in Napa, touring, wine tasting, dining. Lana is a very charming hostess, with excellent recommendations for wineries and restaurants. Breakfast was very good. Garden setting lovely. Nice walk through pretty neighborhood to downtown Calistoga. We stayed in downstairs bedroom. A bit small,... More
