The room was pretty basic with no room safe, but clean. The location just by the canyon is impressive. There are a lot of activities which we would have done with more time. The dining room staff are friendly, the food is good, the bar with swimming pool alongside is a great place for a drink on a hot day.

Nice clean hotel close by the Ricon de la Vieja national park. There is a nice pool, and the rooms are quiet, clean and relaxing. However it is a big hotel, with lots of cabins, so if you are looking for a small friendly place with personalised service, this may not be ideal.

We did the horseback riding, zipline, lunch, and tubing down the river. Great fun! Excellent staff to help you along the way. They are working on adding newer amenities and it is very gorgeous. Lunch was delicious. River rafting was fantastic! After all of it, you soak in a hot pool and can go get a massage if you'd like.... More

This hotel offers a lot of excursions like canopy, horse riding, rafting, ... The rooms are nice and have airco. The staff is very friendly. If you stay here, you certainly need to do the canopy tour. It is very nice.

if you look for adventure, book a room in any close by hotel and take a shuttle to this hotel. the adventure part is there but the rooms are below average, really bad beds and it seems that the little bungalow hasnt been cleaned since last high season.. sticky shower, musky smell, unclean glasses, broken window in the bthroom etc.... Canyon Lodge was an interesting spot as there were no TV's in room but you really did not need one. Lots to do, Bungalows were clean and very rustic. there is lots do do there, we went horse back riding which was enjoyable. We were actually allowed to run the horses. Jimmy our guide was great. Lovely bungalow with a porche to enjoy evenings. Great pool, friendly staff, good breakfast and dinner at reasonable price. Nice to jump into the river, to get a massage, or to rest lazy at the pool. Visit the Rincon de la Vieja national Park, but remind to pay with small bills, they don't accept bills of 50USD !
