This cabin style accomodation was perfect for our 3 day vacation in Carmel. It fit our budget and our desire to travel with our dog. The room was surprisingly roomy and well-appointed and, while others complained about the heat source being from a gas fireplace, I loved it. Our front desk host, Ricky, couldn't have been nicer or more well-organized.... More

Love this place! We were in Carmel for a wedding and all of us stayed here. It was so nice having our own cottages, great twist on a hotel stay. They were priced affordable too. Its close to the highway and grocery store. The gardens are beautiful and there is a nice community area with tables, a stone grill and... More

A couple of other reviewers have commented that this place was "inexpensive" or "good value." It must cater to a pretty wealthy clientele if they consider $182.50 for a dingy, dark, rundown room "inexpensive." To call this place a resort was totally misleading. There was nothing resorty about it. Besides being dark and dingy, the room, or "cottage," was totally... More

We loved our room at the Carmel Resort Inn because the bed was comfortable and the room was inexpensive. However, customer service was not o.k. We arrived at 11:35 on April 29, 2013 and the guy at the front desk told us to return between 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. When we got back from visiting the beach, we were tired... More

Each cottage is equipped with a good range of facilities. Breakfast was OK and delivered in a basket to your door. There is an outside BBQ open to guests and two cottages are attached convenient for families with interconnecting doors. Rooms are nice - half of a cottage. They are old (1900s) so they creak a bit and are a... More

If you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Carmel, this may be the place for you. We found the rooms to be clean and were happy there was a gas fireplace because it was the only heat in the room. You have your own parking space which is very convenient with luggage. It is dated. Staff were... More

We stayed here twice over the last 6 months. The cottages have a quaint feel to them but the bathrooms need updating. The water pressure is good and the bed was comfortable. There is a designated parking near each cottage. The hot tub didn't seem very sanitary. Breakfast basket included muffins, fruits, juice (cans) and water (probably bought from Costco).... More

The cottages are good size but the carpets are dirty and the furniture is very shabby. The price is good but you get what you pay for, and it's not much! I don't think I would come back. The only good comment I can make is that the location is great!

Comfortable mattress, pretty simple breakfast offerings (roll, juice, water, banana), fairly close to Carpenter and street noise, cute setting, but definitely old cottages in need of some updating, heat from fireplace only. Relatively quiet at night. Affordable pricing

These are older stand alone cottages, however they were roomy, clean and comfortable. In the morning there is a knock on the door and a basket of juice, fruit and muffins is delivered. This is not luxury, but for the price in Carmel its an excellent deal.
