Was there for Outdoors Writers Assoc. of California meeting at lake. Kyle was helpful in many ways, including getting me kayak and giving me pointers. Very relaxing place to stay. Was most impressed by housekeeper Danielle, who several times asked me if I needed anything. Then she found a small packet I lost with a couple of rings in it.... More

Greg Thank you for the positive review. Unfortunately, due to the decline in the economy, we have been forced to sell the resort. We are unsure of the new owners intentions and cannot recommend it as a place to stay. The resort is currently closed. We thank all our guests for choosing to stay with us over the last 5... More

We stayed there a month a little over a month ago now, the rest of the lake was not as bad as another reviewer described but, this area was fairly bad in smell and what looked like a mold carpet on the waters surface. We stayed in Lakeport for the remaining time on our visit to Lake County it was... More

We stayed in one of the cabins and really enjoyed it! Pros: Right on the lake, nice views, quiet, clean, friendly staff, boat launch on site, There is a Paddle Boat docked there which is a Restaurant/Bar-great to go for a drink and take n the views from the top deck. (Please note it is only open Thurs-Sunday) Cons: The... More

It is simple and very pleasant. The owners are present with local information, guidance, directions and recommendations. Very helpful. The rooms are average in design and decoration -- sort of 70'ish. Very, very clean. Great shower pressure. Sit outside your room in the evening at your own little table and enjoy wine and the sun setting over the lake. Make... More

This place is so desperate for business that they made us pay for the 2-night minimum even though we decided to check out after one night. Yes, the policy is clearly posted on their website. But the Lake was so gross and stinky and the place so boring we couldn’t bear a second night. The locals we met in town... More

Our guest is correct - we do have a 2 night minimum on weekends and so do most resorts on the Lake. It's standard policy due to the number of concerts at Konocti Harbor. If we let a room go for one night, we loose our weekend booking. The Lake does have a natural Blue-Green algae growth around the shoreline,... More

I can't think of anything new to say that isn't what everyone else has said. This is a very clean, well run motel/resort destination on the lake. I needed a place to go for a quick weekend away and this fit the bill. My husband was able to launch his boat and fish and I was able to chill at... More

Everyone who works at Ferndale Resort makes you feel right at home. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway this is the place to stay. The food and the staff at Watercolor Restaurant are top notch! **Bass Fishermen** If you are coming to fish Clear Lake, they have their own launch ramp, the docks are well lit at night and... More

A group of friends planned a fishing trip to clear Lake. We were reccomended Ferndale Resort and Marina and were not disappointed. the service was fantastic and the use of the boat launch and mooring site for our boat was fantastic. If planning a fishing trip and want a clean pace to stay I highly reccomend.

Just returned from 3 nites at tne resort. Part of a group of 9 that had 5 units adjacent to each other. The trailer unit needs some tlc. The 4 motel rooms were clean and roomy. The "Watercolor" restaurant on site and the Italian restaurant nearby both had outstanding food and service. The paddle wheel boat "Clear Lake Queen" is... More
