My stay with Marsha was more enjoyable than I expected. I spent 5 wonderfully comfortable and relaxing days in the Waverly Room at Marsha's La Jolla Hideaway. She has created a quiet, peaceful atmosphere in a lovely, lush garden setting. The room was cozy, the bed perfect and I appreciated that little things were provided, like a hair dryer, toiletries,... We stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of our drive up PCH last September. Marsha's directions were good so we found the house no problem. The front door was open so we walked in to find Marsha, who was lovely and she showed us to our room in the cottage behind the house (Wind'n'Sea, I think). The room... More

I was only able to stay one night, but it was enough to sell me on follow up visits. I felt very much at home, as if I was staying at a friend's house. The location is gorgeous, just steps away from eye-popping ocean sunsets and peaceful strolls through the beautifully treed streets of La Jolla. The house lets in... More

We found Marsha's B& B from Trip Advisor. My wife and I stayed here for a week when we were relocating. Marsha is a great hostess and creates a home atmosphere for her guests. Along with Lily, they make you feel at home. We have such fond memories of those delicious breakfasts while chatting with the other guests. Marsha knows... More

I spent a whole vacation month at Marsha's place but I thought when I left that it was too short! Marsha has been so warm and friendly and helpful that it has been a great experience. She creates such a nice atmosphere that everyone around her feels good. We enjoyed meeting the other guests around the beautiful breakfast she and... More

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend at the La Jolla hideaway. Marsha is a great hostess and very knowledable about the area. Her recommandations for dinner, George, was perfect and the next day we took a 4 hour walk to Mission Beach and back along the Bay. We are looking forward to going back there again. Thank you... The home is absolutely a beautiful sanctuary. The owner is wonderful, warm and inviting. Her knowledge of the area is something you can count on if you're not from there. My husband and I were there for a family gathering. So we are from the area but Marsha's historical knowledge of La Jolla and her own family history was amazing.... More

We were looking to visit the La Jolla area, and we looked into the b&b places. We wanted relaxation, so we chose The Hideaway. Situated in the 'Bird Rock' neighborhood, the house is surrounded by lush landscaping that gives it a tropical feel. The house and rooms are clean, with wonderful old-school style left intact. Between the charm of the... More

My husband and I stayed at La Jolla Hideaway for several nights and absolutely loved it! We liked that we good get to Mission Beach and the coves in La Jolla very easily from the location of the B&B. We enjoyed walking down to the beach and to the nearby shops and restaurants. The meals provided by Marsha were spectacular... More

I have stayed at La Jolla Hideaway on two occasions now and I can't wait to go back. Marsha has thought of everything to make this a home away from home. I have stayed here for both business and pleasure. The location: It is my favorite in all of San Diego: you can walk, ride a bike, take the bus,... More
