Great spot lone pine and best western is a clean tidy new looking motel ! Gem of a town just a shame you need to drive to get a meal , definitely worth stopping to see the sites. Gotta go up the portal road past Alabama hills for the million dollar views !

The staff is friendly and will make every effort to get you in early or store your stuff so you can head up the mountain. It is always clean and comfy.
