I have waited to write this reveiw because I am conflicted about this hotel. It certainly was a kick being on an old ship. A lot of history, very interesting and yes, a little "haunting" as well. Check in was easy, but finding my room was not. The ship is huge and you can easily get turned around. Also, this... More

I stayed on the ship while at a conference in Long Beach. It was fabulous and fun! Such a unique experience to stay onboard and explore the ship. I enjoyed my morning coffee on the deck at sunrise and my cocktail in the Observation Bar at sunset. I dined at Sir Winston's for a delicious splurge. It was convenient to... More

My husband I had our honeymoon on The Queen Mary. If you like history and spooky feelings this is a majestic place to stay. We definitely intend to stay there again. Although next time I'd love it if it were warmer.

I decided, although cautioned against it by friends, to stay at this ship-hotel just one night, because my wife and I were invited to a family dinner party on board that ship and we deemed it prudent not to drive back to San Diego late at night. My disappointment, and irritation, started when we booked the reservation. The overpriced room... More

My first impression when we arrived was that the Queen Mary was looking very tired. IMO it needs a whole new paint job on the outside. I'm sure it never sailed looking in that bad a shape. The insides of the lifeboats, which you can see from the upper decks, are in a very sorry state. The Sir Winston restaurant... More

We stayed here just before taking a "real" cruise. This is the perfect place for someone who wants to try a cruise but gets seasick. No movement and all the fun of an old-time ships cabin. Great accommodations and a friendly staff. Decent restaurants on board, nearby attractions. The rooms are a bit larger than today's "mini-suite" and a lot... More

This is a great place to stay for many reasons. If you like history, art deco, ghost tours and just having an authentic experience, you'll love the Queen Mary. There is lots to do aboard ship and great food. My favorite exhibit is the Queen Mary museum which is free if you stay onboard. Great stuff to see for all... More

I stayed at the Hotel Mary with my father and sister for my graduation. I thought the hotel staff were very helpful and was eager to answer my questions. The twin deluxe room was spacious with an adequate sized bathroom. The restaurants offered different foods too appeal to any pallet. I enjoyed to the unique historical features of this hotel... More

I booked a Deluxe King with a harbor view directly through their website. Upon check-in Laura C. was kind enough to upgrade us to the Phinney Suite (M115). She said that it was one of the best rooms on the ship, and we have to agree. The room was at least 550 sq. feet, you had an entry way into... More

I attended a conference at the Queen Mary, and (since I was an organizer) I got an upgraded suite with a "harbor view". Of course, since it's a ship, the harbor view is through small portholes. The room was a reasonable size, but very dated. That's the point - part of the attraction is staying in a mostly period-accurate ship... More
